Using Multipliable CD's

Is it worth the loss of money using more than 1?

I used 6 in total last season but I only kept 4 of them in the team and it's causing me to loss money every race.




Would be great if their salaries could be lowered like in the old version where we could discuss wages with them 800K is a bit rich for my blood, can buy a 4 bedroom house here for 180K lol

I have tested having a few CD's with different strengths and weakness's. I rotated them in and out as I understand they have to be active.

I actually think I am doing better now that I have stopped! You end up with a "balanced car" but everything seems to be lower and your still just slow.

That is what I noticed would seem to work better with 2 maybe 3, lest you would have something at 50%

4 five star and 2 four and half CD's I used, might of been a bit higher though if they where all 5 star.

Using a CD way below the best one you can get is a bad idea indeed. Since the update that lowered the effects of the strength and weakness it's quite a waste of money to have two or more CDs as well in my view, but there might be an exception to that. If you don't care much for money there might be an use to hire one of the few available 5 star with not such good strength/weakness to use alongside a 4.5 star with perfect skills to raise the overall amount of points slightly for a compromise between a good strength car attribute and overall amount of points.

Gonna use just two 5 star CD's this season to see how it fairs.

It only uses the "active" CD. So you have to remember to rotate your CD's every race etc. It gets a bit tedious.

I tried 5, where I had a matrix to make sure if someone had a weakness I had someone with that as a strength. I found that you did indeed end up with a balanced car, but it everything was lower than if you were to just have 1 CD, and have an obvious weakness.

I havent tested since they "tweeked" the strength and weakness effect, but since I reverted to just one CD I am doing much better again.

Like everything else there would be pros and cons, like the old style drivers.

No mental training, they where good in dry but poor in the wet
No defensive training, they never get slowed down but they were easy passed

It's just a matter of finding something that works for you sticking with it if it goes well

Has anyone tried yet using 2 CD's with the same Weakness and two different Strengths to see what the outcome is?
Has anyone tried 2 CD's with the same Strengths and 2 different Weaknesses to see if it goes above 50?

No, if I used them it was always to soften the effect of the weakness. But I did replace a CD with another one with the same Strength, which should have the same effect, and it stays 50. Since that 50 is a hard cap it would be a bug, and quite an oversight by the devs, otherwise.

The first question should be similar to your screenshot but with one 'normal' low attribute in the low 20s like with the usual one CD. That, or your approach but with weaknesses not in the big 4, seems to be the best way if you can afford the additional wages (and actually manage to find those CDs at all). Weakness(es) like normal but not half the strength eaten away by the cap.

Only good then if you are meeting objectives always, otherwise you will be paying out more than you make.

Yes, it's quite the expense and might be too much of luxury if you fail the objectives too often. In my case it would be 600k-650k extra costs per race for 7 or 8 more points for the new car.

It would be something for someone going for the championship in a tough competition where every edge counts, but that's currently more or less hypothetical. That situation usually means team levels where you need lots of luck to find even one decent CD and this requires 2. So perhaps more likely would be trying to get 2 not as good CDs to make a competitive car until a decent one can be hired.
