Hey guys,

Everyone else seemed to join the race ok in my league but some reported it took a while, for me it took around 20 mins before I could join my race tonight, the race viewer was just stuck on downloading. I tried clearing my cache in firefox and pressing CTRL+5 but I didn't join until just before the first pit stops with around 65% of my KERS remaining which is very frustrating. Is there anything I can do? or is it just a case of the servers are busy due to increase demand on the game?

1-2 hours ago we had lag basically. We've identified the bottleneck and sorted it out going into tomorrow.

To give you some idea of why this has happened a couple of nights in a row and what is causing it... the service has essentially quadroupled in size within the space of 2 days. It's growing so fast that it is showing us bottlenecks we didn't find in testing. We didn't realistically think we'd be growing at this speed until a year from now! The growth is so sudden that we were a little unprepared. But on the whole we're handling it quite well, and each day addressing the bottlenecks that show up. A couple of different ones have reared their heads, but we've squished them both now.

You know from the old version of the game that at times there was 780 people online at one time going by the wee counter at the bottom of the page & it's growing in number you say, it's any wonder hard drives are getting burnt out in the servers, better start backing up the backups. :)
