Retiring Driver

Hello,
I have a driver who is retiring and will be one race short of doing a whole season. My question is that if he does the whole season retires with one race left, will he still win the championship?

I dont believe so.

It appears that the drivers standing/points will only be relevant for a driver that is currently contracted to you.

If you want him to win the title... sign a 3rd driver, and make the new drive active, replacing the retiring one. He will then remain contracted to you until he completes his last race and win the drivers title.

Ouch, a possible championship winning driver with that retiring date... Must hurt.
