Right now, there are 5 "notches" of aggression. Let's call them D2, D1, M, A1, and A2. What I would consider revising is D2 fuel usage. I've had several instances where I've got 4 laps or so in a stint and can see I don't have enough fuel to finish the stint. When I put the driving style to the far left ("D2") the fuel usage is only slightly less. I know from driving my road car, and racing formula cars in simulators that the fuel per lap can be lowered drastically! Lifting and coasting for example, while slower, can drastically decrease the fuel used.

On some tracks I've noticed that D2 on Super Soft tires is faster than the higher push settings .. I'm not sure that it means slower....

I honestly dont think decreasing fuel for different push levels is the way to go just yet, should have the same fuel per lap for all tyres as softer are faster after all. it doesnt take over 23seconds to do a pit stop and the pitlane speeds are well above 56kph, lowering the fuel usage for SS and raising it for H is just going to kill strategy completely.

There was a post from Jack that he planned to rework the push level system anyway. As far as I remember and understood the idea was giving each tyre its own neutral push level. Nonetheless I agree that a button or push level fuel saving could come handy sometimes incorporating those things Clayton mentioned, although it probably would, and should, cost more than the few thenths of a second of the steps of our current range.

On the whole I'd like some more strategy calls, like block and attack strengthening the defense or attack skill but at the cost of some performance, mostly if unsuccessfull in attacks case. Or 'Don't overtake' to take advantage of DRS, or avoid overtaking a (slightly) faster car in DRS and blocking it the following lap for a disadvantage of both (as long as he doesn't KERSes by, and perhaps tries to loose the offender to avoid this happening again next lap).

Your first paragraph actually sounds a lot like things James Greer has suggested in the past, and not Jack himself.

Jack said the team are going to be editing the tyres sometime after the mobile lunch, not sure if that involves push levels.
We will find out when the time comes. Reliability & Stability of the game is far more important than the Controllability. Pointless having great new features if people cant get near them lol
