my fuel gauge and capable lap number indicates some what abnormal values
something like 140 laps and some hundreds of fuel
it gets to normal after first stop

It usually gets normal after first lap (because fuel use can't be calculated before this)

I have noticed that the strategy tab doesn't update for me unless i try to change the fuel amount. It retains some invalid mileage calculation until you manually do something.

Yeah, you have to move plus or minus 1 notch and then back to where you want it in order to correct itself. It will correct itself after a small number of laps usually but if you want to get correct reading straight away, you may have to do it manually.
