Hi,

I was in a league where i moved on to PRO but only stayed with 5 members where are 2 active.
Not a lot of fun so i decided to change league but loose all sort of points build up.

Now i joined an active one but my car points are all gone.
I understand that if i join and have to many some of it must be removed to make it more balanced, but loosing everything makes them only grow faster and i would always be on the bottom due the ripoff off points.

Isn't there an overall nuimber of points given to spend to mach up a bit to find some connection to the whole league instead of just take all my points.
It makes no sense.

Or do i see this the wrong way of starting from zero in a league that already in Pro.
You understeand that driving in a league of 4 people is no fun, so people like to swap without loosing there points.

Thanks

If you join a league mid season you get very few design points to spend but you're still far behind. It's better if you joined a league at the start of the season, then don't worry, if done well you'll catch up with the help of research/spying in time for the last races of the season. It's just one season anyway, the next one you're back on track.

I also don't understand this system of changing leagues. I understand if u join one half way through ur car points get reset. But what i don't get is the following season u still dont get maximum points so ur still behind. So joining a league half way into a season will take 1.5 seasons to recover.

Also

why is it when u finish a season in one league and join another league before the first race u still get all points reset and on the back foot again. when it shouldn't make a difference.

No but if you are in a league and WANT to continue but there just 4 left and 2 of them are active then what.?
So i want to leave and join another active league, logic right.
I even leave when my own was finnished and no matter if its the first day of the other league you still get a reset.
I had stayed in my own league my points where still there and moved up to RPO, so that meens that even on day 1 a lot of these guys have douvle strenght in cars. so how does this work and will i always be at the bottom than as it continue's to expert. i always be behind and so ........? how does this work.

You will really only be at a disadvantage for the first season when you move to a new league. And the longer that is left to run, the less disadvantage you will have due to way the "spying" system works. It helps you catch up with better cars who have more Design Points to spend than you.

In your second season, the only disadvantage you should have should only be based on the lvl of your CD and TD and what level of car they develop for you.

I am not a fan of how much the penalize a team for moving leagues, but as its designed now, its really only effects your first season (as long as you dont change with only a few races to go in the new season). The people who are penalized further are the people who move contently from league to league.

I believe this why we also need better ways to figure out if the league a person is joining is of good reputation and active!.

If you don't want the penalty for switching leagues, and you want competition in the league you are in, then you need to become a salesman. Start talking it up to your friends (best chance of being on your same schedule), if you are a member of any racing forums, maybe post there about the game and link to your league. Otherwise, advertise in iGP's league forum. Most of all, don't get discouraged.

I agree the point reduction is too extreme, it's happened to me. Until they change it the best advice I can give is to stock up on design points for the first half of the season and with some clever spying you should be somewhat competitive towards the end of the season. Though that does mean you will have an absolutely horrific experience to start with. By doing this I went from dead last and lapped in Australia to a double points finish (something like p6/7) in Japan in a competitive elite league.

should be simple join half way through a season and get a points reset. and season after that ur points should be the same as if you've always been there.

especially if u only change teams once in a blue moon.

Well we will see.
Ill stick if the league is full when i will be cooperative.
for now just staying in the back of the grid trying to keep positive and keep playing.

Actually the penalty for joining a league at the start of the season looks like a bug. Because those teams most of the time have more design points in their second season than they should have, just like their CD developed the car for 2 seasons and hit the cap of 50 (for elite) on all areas but their weakness.
