I would need clarification.
I found a technical director sparking the players in the hall of fame but is part of a non-active team. That team probably is not part of any championship.
The contract of this technical end in one race, but if this team is not part of any championship, will the technical director released or not?

Contracts are on a per race basis. If the manager is not in any league, their staff is frozen in time.
They may have been kicked out of the league they were in, or they are taking a planned break and pulled out of their league to keep the staff they had and not need to start over finding new staff at every position.

they are inactive from 3 september 2014...
little break for reorganize their team!
edit: Another one found with good staff. Out of races from 8 Sept 2012....
I think a good idea is release staff from their team after more time whitout races :)
