I have a tricky question. I've tried a lot to figure out the answer but i can't manage to find it.

I'll try to explain myself. I'm trying to to determine roughly (before the race starts) how much i will have to push in order to keep tires in the right spot (between red and blue).

Knowing how i'll have to push can determine how much i have to fuel in order to do the intended laps of a stin.

For example if you are on hard and want to do 15 laps and:
- on one race you have to be in a defensive spot (not pushing) for tires to be optimal temperature then you will probably fuel for approximatively 14 laps. And you will do your 15 laps.
- on one race you have to be in a agressiv spot (pushing) for tires to be optimal temperature then you will probably fuel for approximatively 16 laps. And you will do your 15 laps.

Hope someone understands my point and could give me an answer.

Thank you very much.

The best answer that I can provide is with experience comes knowledge. You won't get everything correct but in due time everybody figures out what push level is ideal based on the variables of a race at any given moment.

Thank you.. But i've tried a lot without succes to understand the process.

Does somebody else have an answer?

Well, the factors you'll have to look for are tyre choice (obviously) and on the track side the tyre wear stat, the air temperature and the type of track aka how fast it is (extremes are Monaco (very slow = cool) and Monza (very fast = hot)).

I'm still under the impression Monaco and Monza push levels where added to the wrong tracks, it's just have been like that for so long they didnt want to change them around

Monaco - slow speed track, lots and lots of corners to heat up the brakes and tyres, low push it should be
Italy - high speed track, little amount of corner to heat up tyres and brakes, high push it should be

While yes, in reality push would raise the heat especially in the corners and slightly due to (over-)acceleration and braking, but it seems to work different in iGP. In iGP speed is heating the tyres. You can notice it with the sudden heat generated by DRS and especially KERSing but also at some tracks were the needle goes up in the long straights section and down in a sector with little straights but a lot of (slower) corners.

The heat increase from DRS & KERS is very little and it only lasts for a short time, that has just sparked another idea of an element they should add, following close behind another car should increase temps a little.
