Staff how often should we upgrade?

So at the start of the season I immediately invested in upgrading my CD TD DR all to stars 4.5 (I was lvl 3) thus paying almost triple the wages that my 2.5 stars were earning. Now I have been upgraded to lvl 4 and my staff have now dropped down to 3.5 stars thus I am getting less design points.

So my question is should we continuously upgrade our staff each time we advance a level or what is the ideal strategy regarding this? Reason being I spent 9 tokens for each staff (so expensive and unsustainable) as I purchased immediately as I saw that the auctions were sometimes costing like 14 tokens etc.

You want the highest star rating possible. getting 5 star staff is rare so holding 4.5 is what you should always be aiming for.

If your having problems with funds i advise focusing your tokens on just money and buying staff and drivers when necessary. don't use them for training or speeding up construction

I just entered an auction for a 5 star lvl 4 TD. I spent all of my tokens (11 of them) and still did not win the auction.

What would you suggest regarding drivers? At what manager level would you suggest that I upgrade my level 3 drivers?

Based on some testing I did with a new team I would say at the lower levels of manager 1 -> maybe 8 or 9, replacing staff and drivers is not as important. You will be leveling up your manager so often that to replace your drivers and staff everytime will cost a lot of coins and a lot of wages. Building facilities I think are more important. You will start to run out of parts etc if you dont build decent manufactoring you will start running out of parts, which makes you pretty slow.

I would train your drivers to best you can, start with physical to stamina 20 and weight is lowest. Staff, only start to replace them when your no longer competitive.

This is just my 2 cents.

You make a good point Jamie, tbf with drivers you can train them up when there star rating drops below 5 stars. With your facilities i think it's best to focus on manufacturing, simulator, design and technologically don't worry about offices and Youth academy
