I was wondering does it matter when you setup your car or practice lap for the race?
Do you get better results or setup and time if you do it closer to the race time compared to if you did it the day before after you just finished the race for the day?

I would assume that I could do car setup anytime and it would not matter. However the practice lap times and everything would and could be better if I do them closer to the start of the race.

Also does the health of your driver dictate or control the outcome of your practice laps? Like if he was at 50% health compared to 100% just for the practice laps (not the race)?

However not sure at all.

It depends on if you want your setup to be relevant to your race.

Setup is affected by weather, so if your practice is not in similar weather to the race conditions, you won't have the best setup for the race. Many of us choose to do setups in the final moments before lockout for qualifying. The flaw to this is if there is a temperature change during the race, and for those doing 75% or more race distance, that is always possible.
The other option is to study the weather stations and forecasts and find a time where weather should match forecasted race conditions (more easily done when not racing every day).

As for driver health, I don't think it has an effect on feedback or lap times. However, others who are more knowledgeable will need to confirm or refute this statement.

Driver health does affect lap times. Anything significantly less than 100% will deliver less than competitive lap times.

Saying that reminds me of how health worked in old iGP...nostalgic.

Blunion yeah I figured that is the case for during the race. However I did not know if there health was less than 100% does that effect practice laps when you are trying to dial in your car? Like if I am at 50% health when setting up the car (suspension, ride height, etc) would I come up with different times than if I was at 90% health?

Since I try to let the health auto regen until I have to pay to heal right before the race. That is what I was trying to get to if that makes more sense.

Just tried one practice lap on each of my drivers...can the difference was negligible to driver error.

Health does not seem to be a factor in practice. So it's only a factor in qualifying and the race, then.

I'm a bit sad, because health should affect practice times.

Hmm Blunion forget the lap times, look at the fuel & tyre wear it should show a difference in it (used to show anyway)
Practice laps to me are kind of a sprint race Stamina & Health have no relevance in timing.

If there was a difference in fuel and tyre wear I would have included that information. But they were both the same.

Bring back the use of push levels.

It used to show similar to this

Had less fuel and tyre wear

That'd be nice.
