We've now had someone posting advertising another league, trying to poach people...what can I as league owner do about it....absolutely bugger all because nobodoy botherered putting in a delete option on the comments.

Please delete the comment by 'Makasu Desuga' and preferably warn or ban him. This is the league: http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=league-info/82#tab3

you need to get some moderating options into chat, or completely remove chat as this is becoming a pain in the backside now. Even a report comment option would be good...as it curently stands though, its nowhere near enough.

We have had this before Rick. There was agreement that something should be done about moderation; not sure if anything has been agreed or implemented.

Well, that took a lot longer than expected... I had to revise how the whole permissions system in the CMS worked to make it flexible enough to understand the various angles that someone can be granted permission to delete a comment (e.g. an admin, a moderator of that particular comment module on that league's page only or the author of the comment). These features have been needed for some time.

FYI Rick - I deleted that comment from your league page at the time, but wanted to wait until this was done before updating this thread.
