Is there any way to predict witch strategy is the best for each race. Should i listen to my drivers who always want a 2 pit race, How will i survive ?

Oh don't listen to them. best tip i can give is look at what the elite teams ran at the last race on each track

If we tell you too much that takes away half of the fun of early gameplay. The two pit strategy is just default the same as medium tires. Try one stop, try three stops. Find active established leagues and spectate their races. Here are three good leagues to watch. Watch the elite class, they know what they are doing. International GP Championship, British Racing League, The MJL. Put those into your search tool and scroll down to the league area to find them.

It begs a question why pay 1.3m for a drivers wages if they are mugs and you can override what they ask for. Has to say number of stops for a reason but for what reason?

100% racing is 3 stops and the fuel tank is 120litres for 78 lap race
50% racing is 2 stops. is the fuel tank 60litres for a 39 lap race?
25% racing is 1 stop. is the fuel tank 30litres for 19 lap race?

20 laps is 30L = 10L of air per stint,
last or first two stints 19 laps is 29L = 11L of air.
Drivers are not mugs after all , 3 stop is the most fuel efficient

Just a shame the fuel tank wasn't 40L

James, you do realize those drivers aren't real people don't you? ;)
It could be worse. You could be paying a driver 43 million per year and have them drive a McLaren . No matter what that driver says he won't be able to come up with a winning strategy.

It wasn't planned, I just had a feeling.
Doing more stops on the same tyre as a car doing the requested number of stops isn't any faster. So if you are slower than the rest with a default strategy, either accept it or try one stop less and still be slower.

Hi,

I have a question about this statement. I finished 1st and 2nd back to back, and then the next race I couldn't attend myself, so I wanted to make the best possible strategy. I looked at the strategy of the top leagues winners, and used the 2 most common ones on my drivers. And they finished 9th and 10th... (In similar weather conditions on the same race time)

Both my drivers completely ruined their tires in eacht stint using this strategy, even tho their default push level was very low

Could it be that the above statement doesn't work because my drivers are just not as skilled as the ones in the top leagues?

Boris, this also is a part of the process of learning. Due to your early rookie status your car design stats probably have very low tire economy numbers. That is why your tires had high wear. In elite the tire economy number would be around 50 by the time the Monoco race occured. Some adjustments may be required to your strategy because of that. IGP is heavily biased toward managers who attend the races and manage during the race. If you are not attending and some of your competitors are then you are at a distinct disadvantage.

This time of year, even with supersoft tires at Monaco, you would need push level 2 and not the lowest #1. Keeping your tires at exactly the right temperature is critical to getting the best speed out of your car. If you attend you can make adjustments both to your cars push level to maintain correct tire temps, and to your tire type if they are wearing too fast. In addition, if others are attending you can chat with them during the race and share strategy ideas. Post greetings and questions on your league page and form friendships with others in your league. That is the true charm and appeal of IGP. If others in your league are not willing to do that then search for a league that has players who communicate with each other. Otherwise you are missing out on the greatest feature of the game.

Thanks for your reply Leslie! I was already thinking of switching competition after this season, because it is a very inactive league. I got the feeling most of them are only playing really casually on the mobile app.

I Have another question regarding Setup.

I've noticed a few times that the lap times during practice are sometimes better when the ride height and wing level are not ideal according to the drivers choice. And this happens in similar conditions on the same compound.

So my question is, is this because the driver made a minor mistake when running his lap on his preffered setup, or should I focus on getting the setup that gets the best result, even though the driver wants another setup?

The lap times of a driver vary by quite a lot, so one or even two laps are not really saying anything.
For example 01:38.903, 1:38.539, 01:38.786 are the training times of one of my drivers last race. Exactly the same setup, all super soft and less than 2 minutes apart so same track conditions.

While it's hard to be sure it's the generally accepted opinion here that the prefered, or ideal, setup is the one that results in the best lap times on average.

Hi Irdahazim, when you are in-game, go to the Next Race page. There are three tabs on that page, one says Setup. View that tab and you will see Wing level at the bottom.
