Hi there,
I'm new to this game but figured out a lot already. But it seems that my driver stars are decreasing.
I have completed 2 races. The first race I finished both drivers and got 8th with one of them.
Yesterday I won the race and got 3rd with the other driver, no reason for a downgrade if you ask me.

Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Stars are relative to your manager level. Since you're new, you would level up very fast initially, allowing you to purchase better staff. Your existing staff, which are now lower leveled relative to you, will see a decrease in star ratings. Their stats have not actually changed, though.

From the manual:

Stars indicate skill relative your current level. So, if you're currently level 10, a level 10 driver or staff would be displayed as 5 stars. A driver or staff that's half your level will have 2.5 stars and so on. This is why, as you progress through the game and level up, you may see the star rating of your own drivers and staff decrease. Their skill level has not actually changed, but your level as a manager has increased relative to them and you are now in a position to get higher level drivers and staff. The star rating acts as a clear way of indicating this to a manager.

Enjoy your time here. :)

Bcuz you leveled up to a higher level so your drivers are losing stars. So after that 2 races you mostly have to train your driver asap.I can see that you are lvl 5 and your drivers are 3.So thats why you are seeing your drivers 1/0,5 stars less. Its also essential to change CD/TD as soon as you level up but you have to wait until end of season(clearly not related to the thread bcuz Im a savage XDDDDDDDD)

That's strange, because some drivers used to be 4stars+ and my DR And management are higher then 3 as well.
I train my drivers everytime I can. After races and my reserve drivers as much as I can.

Ahhh that explains a lot thanks!

I have another question.
My finances are getting lower. I lose more money, my price money and earnings are 2 mil and costs per race about 2.9 mil.

I see a lot of people struggle with this..

I think you're paying all your reserves, that's roughly 1m, or not?

My expenses are 5.8 mil for 2 races(2.7 cars and 3.1 wages)
My income 4.3 mil for 2 races 2.0 mil prize money and 2.3 sponsors)

Is it recommended to get cheaper drivers and staff?

Its recommended to have low-paying drivers but high lvl but if you move to pro league,Its recommended to have high talented drivers from the youth academy and no the cheaper the staffs are the less level they are

I don't know about my bonus, i have to check that next race.

But if you don't race with my reserve drivers i don't pay them right!?

Any personnel on your team are contracted to you are paid regardless of whether they are an active employee or in reserves.

You just flat out have too many people on your payroll for just starting out. An elite level team may be able to handle that, but there is absolutely no need for 3 doctors, 3 TD, or more than 2 drivers
