hi igp team,

pls overwork the pitstop window in 2d.
it happened for the 3 rd time today that i do an unscheduled pitstop and in pit different tyres are used because the "weather strategy" replaces the settings.
This is so annoying. Please fix that.
"follow weather strategy" should be unchecked as soon "unscheduled" is checked. This is really annoying and destroys a lot of planing.
This time btw i unchecked "follow weather" myself but the system did not recognized it. :(
Please add at least a "disable weather strategy" button asap.

Sorry about this, the pit strategy window is a bit confusing.  At the moment if the "Follow weather strategy" option is selected your weather strategy will apply any time an automatic pit stop happens.  That is, your pit crew will follow your weather strategy whenever your driver pits for fuel, or to renew the tyres, or because the weather has changed.  The only time it will not apply is if you manually order an unscheduled stop.  In other words, you need to select "Unscheduled stop" and press PIT.

It is not safe to assume that everyone will want their drivers to ignore their weather strategy when they have left "Unscheduled stop" selected.  However it is safe to assume that they are overriding the weather strategy if they manually call an unscheduled stop. So I am sorry that this is confusing but I think it's the best arrangement with the current options.

Having said this, it would be an improvement if the selections in the “Next stop” row are updated the second the driver decides to pit to change tyres for the weather. That way you can review and override the compound selection simply by altering the values in the “Next stop” row.

I can't find any evidence from your last race that deselecting “Follow weather strategy” is failing. According to the race log of your last race, you deselected the option when your car was on lap 24. Your driver then made the decision to pit on lap 28 to avoid running out of fuel which you cancelled. Your driver then ran out of fuel on lap 29.

So to be clear, for the time being you just need to deselect “Follow weather strategy” to solve all of the problems you encountered here. If that doesn't work, please get back to me. Thanks.

"Andrew

How is it possible that he ran out of fuel on lap 29 ( so hasn't seen the checkered flag ) and finished 5th with the Race having 30 laps? In front of my driver and others who didn't ran out of fuel? :D

And another very annoying thing is that when weather changes during qualifying the driver starts with wrong tyres. i thought that this was sorted out already? He even didn't pit to change his tyres after 1 lap, he drove the half race with wet tyres with the weather beeing clear. I specified that after 0 laps if it stops raining he should pit and switch to intermediates. expecting "0" meaning as soon as possible...

The reallife silverstone weather yesterday was not rainy at all. On the igp google weather window it was raining for hours, and even storm in testing phase 5min prior to the race. After 5mins in qualifying the weather switched suddenly to clear weather, like it should have been all the hours before :(

I'm not a subscriber yet, and tbh don't think of subscribing until the the bugs get sorted out.

thx for the detailed reply Andrew. The problem was not the fuel problem. For that i have to blame myself. :D

The annoying thing which happened was  the unscheduled pit for tyrechange.
It started to rain suddenly. So i immediately told my driver to do an unscheduled pitstop to pick up FULL wet tyres and lots of fuel as i knew that the tyres will last long.

But suddenly i read "driver refits Inter's" and only picked up 37 liters instead the 50 liters set.

This happened in lap 15 and this forced me to get back in pits again 4 laps later.
Thats where the bug happened. Everything later was just messed up by myself.

How about that solution.

Make the "unscheduled pitstop" a button and not a checkbox with the desired settings next to it.

So when a driver wants to do an unscheduled stop he sets the amount of fuel, selects the tyres and press the "unscheduled stop" button.
After that a RED Pitting message appears instead of the green one.

This would help alot by indicating which pit strategy is executed and stops the confusion.

Best

ps: Btw. i think i know why i finished in front of you, Alexis: You've been one lap down.

From an initial read through, I like the sound of that idea Raymond.  I'll see what I can do.  Thanks.
