I think it would be good to have a system like this implemented into the game, because I find it way too easy to accidently buy too many parts or engines. And I also sometimes make the mistake of buying parts instead of engines, so being able to convert the unneeded parts back into tokens would save people a lot of time and frustration.
I know it's quite rare to buy the wrong thing but it is still really easy to buy too many engines or parts for what you actually need. I prefer only taking what I need and never less or extra.
Maybe an extra box on the "Shop" page that says "Conversion" and then lets you chose how much of whatever you want to convert to tokens would be useful.
