Morning,

Does buying high quality parts over low quality (cheaper) parts actually make any difference at the moment, or is this something that's going to come in at a future date?

Just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money getting high quality components.

It does make a difference. Cheap parts will be fitted with somewhat less than 100% condition when they are built, due to poor manufacturing processes and handling.

Awesome - thank you.

If you make new components to allmost every race, you can make low quality parts, i remember this ))

This might be more expensive than building high quality parts for two or three races ;)

No!

As Jack said: The performance is somewhat below under 100%. If you add new parts every race, add good parts making you faster, not cheap parts making you as reliable, but slower. You would do that on a Volkswagen to keep it running, but not on an F1. ;-)

So the best the condition of the parts, the faster the car will go? Or is it just an index that shows what is the chance of the parts to break?

high condition parts doesn't make the car faster, they only make the car more reliable as far as i know.

They DO make the car faster.
Try to compare between both of your drivers and you'll clearly recognize a change of performance balance between drivers, when one has aronund 50% and the other one getting new parts. Its easy to find out.

As well you might want to drop a parts quality below 10% and have a look at your lap times dropping dramatically.

The car is as reliable as it could be, as long as you stay over 1% of your parts.

You can test the easily as well with a two drivers team.
