New season refresh

New season in my league, and my car has had it's new car stats revealed, and my Downforce has been set to 28. Chief Designer weakness is Cooling and Strength is Fuel Economy, is there a reason it is that low or is it a bug?

How many other chief designers did you have last season and for how long?

Last season I had one for the first half of the season until I replaced them with this new one.

I had 28 last season because the old CD had a downforce weakness but surely it should be higher??

I think I understand what you are saying.

Here's my thought process for anybody else who may understand what Lee may be saying.

Having 2 CD's is the best advantage because the car design gets two strong attributes and the rest of the design attributes have average development. Shortly put, the gains of a CD is reaped in half a season.

That also means the CD's development of their weakness came out to half that of the average car design attribute's. Then you put a new CD as active, whose weakness isn't the same as the first one's, and you'd expect some development to take place there too...

Might have to do some testing for this.

it was 5 races ago I changed, I was jumping the gun, does it really mean I go into a season with 28 downforce development though?? that is a huge handicap

Ah. Yeah, it was only 5 races ago, then the development looks just about right where it should be.

Why did the car development focus get removed :(
