If the weather was dry and you find that it starts to rain, just add 12 to both Ride Height and Wing Level and reverse if it was raining and you then find it dry.

That used to be possible in the old iGP.

I should tell Jack to consider it...

I think as this game is in real time there should be more practice rounds. It takes on average about 4 LPS to get the setup right if you do not have tokens for the ideal setup function... And as the "real" races has about 2 days for this setup we should be able to do about 10 to 15 practice laps to get a true reflection on tire wear and fuel use and therefore could be better prepared with a better strategy for race time... Please consider allowing more practice laps before a race....

Unlike real life, the setups in iGP are really basic, though it helps to save them somewhere for quick reference. And for rain races, refer to Joey's advanced guide for a quick shortcut to rain setups.

Yes but now we use ss for practice to setup ride and wing hight and this takes 4 laps... Then we need to see which tire type would suit best for the particular track... This is where more laps would be required to see when you have the ideal hight settings which tire would suit you best.

4 laps is a bit much (though if you are in a 2 car league you'll have 10 runs in total), but that is why saving the setups from previous seasons in your notes or something really helps. You can use different tyre compounds for each practice run as well to check tyre %, though in iGP the numbers for fuel & tyre usage on the practice tab are really only rough estimates at best (still better than nothing), with past data being the most reliable indicator (This is why if you read Joey's guides you'll see that he was a player who was really particular about saving past data, even precise fuel numbers. Managers like me just glance at the Team History tab though). As for what if the weather changes, there's one reason why your drivers tell you to do practice laps as close to the race's conditions as possible.

Anyway, I echo the sentiments of managers above to allow players to purchase more practice runs with tokens if there is a demand for it. Then there's ideal setup which costs 3 tokens anyhow.

I think Rookie tier should have 10 laps, as they haven't cracked the game yet.
PRO should have 8 laps, and Elite 5 laps.

agree, but i also think that would be better to introduce a variability in the set-ups connected to the diferent compound

OK, it's my first post on here, but I have an idea that could potentially be good. I'd like to see an increase of practice laps also, but would also like the option to do laps with various "push" options and be able to compare fuel consumption and tyre usage under various push regimes, and only then be able to choose which strategy I want based on more comprehensible information from practice sessions. I know it would maybe complicate things a bit, but it would also provide a long range of options for the race.
