2D countdown timer

I typically open the 2D viewer before the race.  Is there a way to put a race countdown timer on that page somewhere?

We'll be changing the race start process a fair bit for the Q1 patch.  Whether or not we add an actual countdown timer, you'll have a much better idea how long it is until the start.
