It seems to me sometimes we have new engines on our cars without using ours.
I don't remember if it's when the engine supplier give me my stock ? So I have 20 new engines + 2 new engines on my cars
Or if it's when the new league is starting ? Even if my supplier gives me my engines later, new season = new engines on my cars (without using my stock) ?

Thanks for your help.

You get new engines during the start of the season, and these are not taken from your current engine stock.

Ok, that's the answer I need.
Thanks for your accuracy :)

So, every new season -for the fisrt race- we will get new engines 'installed' in the cars? And then we get new 20 extra engines each 20 races, right?
This is our first season so we don't know for sure how it works...

Yes however those 20 engines depending on your engine wear would only last 10 races. So you will need to spend tokens to get more engine however i recommend you only buying engine for how much races need. For example after 10 races and you do not have any engines, i recommend you getting 12 engines because if you only need 1 engine per driver for each race, it should get you till the end of the season.

I was changing the engine every 2 races, not every race, so 20 engines can last for 40 races (20 per car).

I don't think there are a lot of diferences between a new and a used (just one race) engine.
Somebody know the time per lap difference between a new or a used engine?

I can tell about my experience in Elite tier of US Grand Prix: There's a huge difference between them. I can't even score if I don't get a new engine every race!!

I just did a race, similar drivers, similar strategies and... you might be right, yes: the one with the brand new engine won the race. The other one with a used engine 5th....

Impossible to have same drivers and same strategies.
Otherwise it's normal the second one finished that far if he had the exact same strategy...

But you did understand it right. First race of the season = new engines.

Yeah, the difference between a new and old engine is very apparent especially in a highly competitive environment. When I used to alternate drivers with the new engine back during last year's open beta for new iGP, the driver with the old engine consistently finished 10-15 or more seconds behind my driver with the new engine in 50% distance races. Even when I try to race with old engines once in a while now, my pace would be dramatically impacted.
