Hi guys, I'm having real problems with my race pace... I can qualify mid pack yet in the race (on the same strategies) I fall so far behind the teams I qualify around?! It seems like if I run on low/neutral push to conserve the tyres then I just have no pace and lose position after position, but, if run on high/neutral then my tyres overheat and the same happens! What I am I doing differently to the rest?
Thanks in advance :)

On most tracks, you should aim to run your tyres in optimal temps (on the middle, black part of the tyre temps gauge). That is where you can get the most pace out of your tyres. For best pace, you should optimize your push levels for different parts of the track, switching them up in straights & corners when necessary.
There is also the issue of strategy. Fuel levels, tyres used, and tyre wear also significantly affect pace.

This sounds like the key to me! Have always wondered why my cars look so slow on the straights..
