How is it possible, that a team - that has won two championships in a row - starts a new season with a all around developed 100% car?
That seems not possible to me?

Which team are we talking about here? Please supply the ID and I will investigate.

easily possible..... depends who your racing with, how often you race, etc

Its all about tactics/drivers before the car becomes important

+ assuming your on about the person who's beating you [who i thought was forum mod??]

1/ last season he raced against 5 other cars... none of them have 2d
2/ not sure about the season before because i cant be bothered lookin and 1/ backs up my arguement

i could race with a 10% car and win a 6 car championship if no1 else had 2d... infact i could prob win a 32 car championship

I think he talks about me.
In my first season I raced against some people with 2D but they joined the league after it has started as far as I remember.
Last season only Michael Schorneck had 2D and therefore it was quite easy to win the season while focusing on next years car.

There is nothing which is impossible to do it all has to do with strategy.

With all upgrades im pretty sure you can develop 100% within a season. So if you were to stop production on current season once, you'd start next with 100%. Hence able to work fully on next season. = 100% constantly.

No, at the moment that is impossible Adam.
Maybe if you have a Chief Designer with a skill of 20 but I'm not quite sure about that.

I believe it depends on the length of your season. For example, if you have a season with 1 round every week, the amount of development days you have is considerably more than a daily league. So 100% development is possible, however it completely mucks up your car for next year if you start with a fully developed motor.

Even with only 1 race per week it's impossible I think.
You only gain 1% for each development so you need 99 days for developing 1 part to 100%.
We have 17 races. 17 races with 7 days a week we have 119 days to develop.
So there is a possibility to get some parts to 100% but I don't think you can develop the whole car to 100% because you need around 60 designers per part.

Not with a wind tunnel etc [Level 8] you dont, at the start you get 20% increase and you need about 60 designers lol

Okay then this is possible but you need the wind tunnel and test rig and of course level 8 but without it's not possible

Designs are scaled to how often you race, so if you race once a week it takes several times longer than in a daily league. The minimum time is still the same, but it requires a lot more designers to be as fast in a weekly league.

There is someone in my league who started off with a full 100% car as well. He told me that it's because he spent a season researching for the next, and spying to develop during the season. Even still, how he was able to go from nothing to 100 for every part in a single season. Must be one of those things I guess.

I started as well with a 100% car.
Means: When starting my race career I was on last sport every race for a year doint nothing more than save money and concentrate on future.
I did that because I was a rookie and thought: "Which rookie will win in first year?"

Of course next year I pay the prize for my 100% car and will have a around 10% car to start with and I will lose again.

Thats life in igpManager...and I like it.

By the way: Although I had a 100% car I didn't won the title. As another team had an 100% car as well. Bad luck I guess, but thats the thrill about it.
Winning can be easy with the right circumstances - but it must not be.

And I like that as well.

How boring it would be if you could pull a master-plan to win for sure?

^ In relation to the above, recently i've realised that 100% means nothing if you have "worse" drivers or "worse" strategy.. Last season the person who started with 100% car finished with 84 points [out of a total 1937 between all teams] this season[a different team] after 5 races they currently have 12 points [out of a total of 505 & 1 less than a team who started with 40%]

even on the same strategy[with the same car] the difference between a good and average driver car be massive [1m 33s yesterday]

Power is nothing without control. It ever was that way.

But there is no doubt, that a 100% car is a weapon in comparation to a 60% car. It's hard not to win with that.
I had a 90% car this season and won already 14 of 16 races. To be honest: I am totally bored of always winning. To me, my car is much to fast in comparation to others. Of course I celebrate it, but I like to go back to competition again. I'd rather fight for 10th place than winning everything again.

Thank god that won't happen, as I drop down brutally next year. ;-)

This is true... BUT thats to win pro [and i did exactly the same to get promoted [655 points] Elite is a whole different story, especially if your lower level.. i started last season with approx 40% and still ended up with 58points more than the team with the 100% car... Theres definetly a cross-over point i'm seeing now where a good driver in an average car can beat a bad driver in a good car

case and point first race of this season [50p for someone who can tell me which team has the 90%+ car and which team has the 100% car] & for bonus points who had 45-55% cars

You'll never know what the guy with the 100% car is doing. I am quiet sure, that our Elite-champ in German International League (join in now!) let loose, when he won nearly everything in first half of the season and he might have concentrated on earning a bit of money, as well as lots of others "stole" his designs....

Of course you are right: A 100% car isn't everything. But a lot... ;-)))

It also depends on your goals. I know people not willing to pay the prize of being superior one season and down the next season. They like to stay in midfield.
And speaking about my latest result: I haven't had a 100% car...I wish I would not have won 16 out of 18 races...as it's...boring. ;-)
