After designing some new parts, I was short 10 engineers and 6 mechanics to fit them.

So I spent a lot of money to sack some designers to get the Engineers and Mechanics necessary to fit in the new car. (Amount was $1M)

After that happened, the new Internals 2A went up to 2D, and then it could be promoted to 2E. But the thing is that the excess Engineers and Mechnics were no longer necessary.

What the game was suggesting before I had the staff was 2A-2E. Now I bought the staff, it was now 2D-2E.

So in effect, there was basically 10 too many Engineers and 6 too many mechanics. Thinking the design changes had been implemented (2A-2D), I then sacked the excess engineers and mechanics, and re-hired the designers to get the next round of parts.

But the Interals 2D has now gone back to 2A again.

That is really buggy and really confusing.

So 2 million dollars worth of staff changes to make some upgrades, biut the net effect of there work was actually nothing.

Account - Ryan Kerslake (I want my $2M back please)

Norrie,

The problem is that the decision confirmation is not clear throughout the software leading to confusion on the part of the user.

The information you have provided is not included on confirmation.

The software does not have very good confirmations apart from the javascript popups which stop you if you are changing page without saving.

Another example is the in-race pit scheduler. The bottom right says "Pit" or "Pitting" and has a schedule with your existing strategy. It is not intuitive to the new user how to alter their strategy to stay on Full "Wets" the whole way. And there is no confirmation in the process to ask you

"This is about to happen - ccc xxx yyy - Are you sure you want to proceed?"

Throwing in check boxes and buttons and dropdowns is one thing, but actually getting meaningful confirmations and consequences is another.

No where in the above process did I understand what was going on.

If you are familiar with the software, great, but if you are new, it's not intuitive.

You just have to get used to it for one season. The game won't be fun if there was no learning curve. Just try it out for a season and you'll get it. And if you don't just look in the "Rules" section where allot is explained. If you still don't get it just ask a question on the forum, there are always people willing to help.

Could you explain exactly what you mean here? Are you saying that the model number on your design page went from 2A to 2D then back to 2A? I have never seen anything like that happen.

I don't quite understand. But FYI I agree with the sentiment that the clarity can be improved on support staff and race strategy. We will work on that over time.
