There was a server fault in the system which we have corrected and are recovering races as quickly as we can.

Hi James, your race was from 20:30 so it will be postponed. Since they are from earlier, they'd be an hour late. The 21:00 races just started later than usual.

No, I mean they won't run. They will be put to the next slot on the calendar. E.g. tomorrow in most schedules. This is because it's pretty much guaranteed at this point that some people can't attend in every race. We have a policy where if a race is more than 30 minutes delayed it will be postponed.

I am sorry to hear you missed out on something else for the race and can only apologise for the inconvenience. Whenever I hear stories like yours it really bothers me genuinely. I'm acutely aware that there are always real people with real lives on the other end playing the game. That goes for everyone in this thread that has expressed their frustration - we share it with you any time this happens.

Regarding this part of your statement though, to be clear it has absolutely nothing to do with testing a release. The problem was a server fault. Hardware, not software. A big MMO service like this doesn't just rely on good code to function, but datacentres, hardware and networks from third-parties we don't control. It was also completely unrelated to the last incidents. The timing is unfortunately close, but only coincidental.
