It's still beyong the point to be honest. In real F1 the cars dive out into gaps that are practically not even there - Some times they are even side by side until the pit exit. In iGP you need what feels like a 2 second window between cars which is absurd. Something has to change.

ok thanks guys.
I do understand the problems with iGP but am still a bit hazy on what happens in Real Life F1
If what you are saying is correct Jason, then in F1 the drivers are barging into each other (well not physically that is!) - I imagine this would be quite difficult to simulate. I see it as a case of 'where do you take up the slack'. In iGP the time is lost in the pit lanes but in F1 the time would actually be lost in on the track as there would be a bunch of drivers trying to get past each other?
Guh - I really should study F1 a bit more.

All I'm getting at is sometimes a driver can be held up in the pits when he shouldn't be - EG if you simulated this in real life it would look a little silly. Sometimes there is more than a big enough gap but you see them sit there and site there and sit there and it's incredibly frustrating. In real F1 they dive out into 5 metre gaps at times - sometimes not even that much - sometimes they are driving wheel to wheel in the pits. In iGP it looks like you can have a 20 metre gap and the driver doesn't try dive into it.
I get what you're saying though, and I have no idea how the programming works so I can't dive into detail on how to fix the problem, but at the moment (especially in our league which is incredibly close and competitive) the "pit lane lottery" as well call it can basically decide the winner of the race for us and/or completely screw someone over. One of the races last season (I think) I qualified poorly, wasted all my kers in the first stint passing traffic, entered the pits in 5th and exited them in 1st with a big enough gap to drive me to victory - So it worked in my favour big time but you can imagine the rage from the other managers.

Yes sorry Jason - we seem to be talking at cross-purposes, and I do completely understand and agree with what you are saying.
I'm sorry that I don't know whether or not this will improve with the update - I am assuming it will - more in hope really!

Don't suppose this is planning on being fixed this at all? I'm sick of over half of my races in each season being at a disadvantage by this.

This should be fixed in the update. Each time there has been a complaint about it since the update there has been an unrelated issue with the simulator causing it to restart. I believe it is the simulator restarting near the end of a race that is causing this pitting issue. I will be investigating this further.

Appreciate the quick feedback Andrew.

This is still an absolute joke
I really am not exaggurating when I say this affects 95% of my races.
I enter the pits ahead of Driver 1, I leave behind Driver 1.
