Is there any more info I can give you guys on my problem? FYI two days later nothing has changed here. When I try open 2D it loads about 5% (as shown in the picture) and then just nothing. Tried every trick in the book, and the Java console does not report any errors so I'm stumped.

Not trying to stir the pot here - I know you guys are busy working on it - Just wanting to make sure there isn't any extra info or anything I can try give you?

@ Jason - you can never give too much information.  Often it is quite a small comment that shines a light on the problem.
Hopefully they will find the answer soon.

I imagine you have already tried this, but could you try in IE or Chrome?  I have been having issues with Firefox on XP myself and I haven't got to the bottom of it yet.

One thing to bear in mind is that after putting all of the track images into the applet itself (to fix an earlier problem), the applet is about 20MB.  So if you have a very slow connection it may take a while to download initially.  The progress bar you see there is mainly indicating the progress of the download.

I've tried IE, Chrome, FF, Opera and Sleipnir Andrew. None of them are working on this rig (win 7 64bit) .. I've tried reinstalling my browsers (both 32bit and 64 bit browsers), reinstalling java on top of old versions, completely removing java and doing fresh installs of both old and new versions including 32bit java and 64 bit (not even sure if there is a difference but I tried both regardless), clearing the cache in Java a million times - I've done practically everything short of reinstalling windows afaik. Live timing works on this computer now Andrew - It's just 2D that won't load. All I get is the same as the picture above. I'm not sure if that helps or not. I just did a race on a junior account though with live timing and that worked fine.

My old rig however (win XP 32bit) updated the Java fine, and 2D currently works on there.

My connection is also fine. Not great by any means but good enough.

I can leave the 2D trying to load for 30 minutes or more, nothing ever comes up after this. It just stops dead in its tracks right here.

Do you remember if you had any problems at all with the 2D immediately after I made the fix where I put all of the maps inside the applet itself?  When I made that change, the applet was made significantly larger, and so takes a bit more time to download.

The progress bar mainly indicates the progress of the download.  So it looks to me like the applet just isn't being downloaded for some reason.

I'll talk to you about this a little more in PM.

The applet downloaded in less than a minute on my old rig though, so it can't be my connection.

Also, nope. When you put the tracks inside the applet it literally worked first pop. Came up with the Java pic as in the pic above but it loaded within a matter of 30 seconds.

If you look at the forum there is an issue with all races and 2D features....

So one week later after more than 100 attempts at getting the 2D java applet to load today it finally loaded for no particular reason and appears to be working fine. I've changed nothing on this end, it just magically worked. Did you guys change something or is this a miracle? Haha.

Short lived fix. Went out for 4 hours, come home and 2D doesn't work again. I'm getting reprompted with the java loading screen and it's just jamming.

I don't understand why it's asking me to download the applet again? My computer has been on the whole time - Nothing has been removed or deleted :S

Sorry Jason, as I just mentioned on another thread, I had to update the viewer.  So your original cache would have become invalidated and you needed to re-download it.  I'm relieved it did finally re-download and worked again for you though.  Did you have to retry the download to get it to work or did it manage to fully download on the first attempt, just after a delay?

Unfortunately not, from memory it took about 10 tries.
