David Lyons, I appreciate how you're always around to give advice or help members. I really do.

But I'll say something most won't. Your head is so far up the dev's arse on so many different topics that you also alienate a lot of members. I assume you're on beta from reading most of your posts - and that is great for you. It almost seems as if you get to experience the best of both worlds (public iGP & beta) that most of these issues that bother paying members are not really issues to you as "there are bigger issues" however if you weren't on that beta side, would you be humming the same tune? If you were paying the money for a subscription, you would be okay with the problems the live verision has?

If you say no then you are a liar. While your help for members is great sometimes, you are not a good spokesperson for iGP and I suggest you don't try to be one. When you have paying customers the #1 priority is customer service and currently that isn't happening. The tire heat problem, the fuel bug, and the stability need to be fixed ASAP before another lap is turned on beta. That is the truth. That is how you run things. You are wrong.

Not meant to be negitive, just constructive criticism. I want this to be just as much as a success as you do.

"Old
Current Issue is, that half of our league quited the last 6 months, because things did not get fixed.

But after the last days BETA bla bla in different post - now we know why things did not get fixed:

devs fiddling around with BETA for about 150 users, while the others are blamed with the same buggy sh.. for months.

FIX those naughty disconnections that happen since server change.

FIX that pitstop issue that I saw many loosing victory with a stupid last lap pit stop.

And do that "5 minute changes" to show your CUSTOMERS that you respect them!

Beta hasn't been touched in over a month it quite litterally has been postponed, the focus is currently on the live website. There is actually only 12 Beta Testers (some are moderators) and Two System Developers.
The Beta Simulator is incomplete, some of the tracks don't work at all. Bare in mind one of the devs was on holiday and is currently working pretty damn hard on fixing the issues that everyone has raised. Most of which have been resolved now, there are more stable races running.

There is only going to be issues, that's what happens in the World of gaming. Bugs etc will pop up, server instability will arise, and further more people's comments on the forums are becoming more stressful towards the devs. Currently they are doing a brilliant job.

Also Young Drivers Program was as a big of a surprise to me as it was to you all.

Mark:
Thank you for your more pleasant post, I wouldn't say being up their arse to be honest, I just got some insight and I am trying to leviate the pressure from the devs by answering questions and giving explanation on what the happens are, as I speak to them regularly. All paying games have their issues, and problems, remember this game is young and it's an entirely new game engine built from scratch. There are bound to be setbacks throughout it's debut year.

I admit I have a biased view cause I have beta insight, but much of that insight is very limited. We only see what we really see on the live site, to us, beta is identical to the live game, but with new fixes and features, despite the horrible stability on the simulator side. Most tracks don't start, we also have been running Belgium for about a month now, which is still on lap 1. As such Beta has been put on hold to repair urgent matters on the live simulator.

I am a paying customer for the live game and I have had my fair share of race breaking issues, to the result where I haven't won a race in two seasons, after winning a double championship on this game's highest competitive and ranked league. I am frustrated at it yes, but I am taking my actions in a more suitable way which helps the developers rather than the way othes here have done so.

Paying Customers and Non-Paying customers are currently #1 on the list, I can promise you that. Have races stopped running in the past few days? Fuel bug effects everyone, which is likely to be a core mechanic, much of the fuel systems have been changed on beta and a hotfix on the live game is due soon.

As proof, allow me to screen shoot you the date and time of the Belgium GP on Beta and the current Race Window Now:

Current Home Page: Note the Dates and Times on the forum posts of the last posts, to verify that it is today (03/Dec/2012)

Current Schedual, note the current race started on the 31st of October 2012

There is your assurance that all focus is on Live.

Tire heat issues are being completely changed in beta, due to the new attributes in the design system. On October 24th, Monaco(Dry) standing push level was 2 (Take it easy).
Fuel Bug issue is probably Andrew's current focus, along with unschedual pit stop bug that I am currently being destroyed by on Live.
Stability has been restored, I have had no race connection issues in over a week.

Just like to confirm that there has been no beta activity for quite a while now.
The devs are concentrating on the live game so please be assured they really are trying to resolve these issues.

And many people blame 'bugs' for their poor managerial skills - I am not saying this is the case in the very reasoned arguments above.
However there will always be people who will jump on the bandwagon and blame everything/everyone but themselves, so a large vocal output is no indication of the scale of the 'actual problem'.

What took you so long coming to my rescue? :p

whoa - didn't think you needed rescuing!

Anyway if the managers are moaning at us then they leave the devs alone - lol :p
I have grown a very thick skin!

Some people are never happy - no matter what you say - so it is best to just let them rant.

Some people are never happy - no matter what you say - so it is best to just let them rant.

In fairness though, most people who rant are people paying a rather hefty - and, by default, recurring - annual fee for the privilege of playing this game. Strip away the loyalty to a young but promising game, some hardworking and well-meaning devs, and the camaraderie of playing in leagues, and you have a very simple principle: ROI, or return on investment.

If people get tired of dealing with bugs, quirks, issues, "features,' etc., they will stop paying for the game. It's as simple as that. Bigger game companies than this one have gone out of business because they couldn't keep up with customer demand.

Known issues become harder to live with the longer they are known. Pretty simple.

I've recieved confirmation from Andrew that the current focus is entirely on Stability, as there is alot of issues with it, getting that fixed is certainly a priority over fueling and push levels which Andrew wants to touch, but only if the basic systems are stable, ie the simulator itself.

Why doesn't Jack work on Fueling? because his area is on the website development side, while Andrew specializes on the simulator.

They are looking for Programmers, anyone with Java, PHP, or C++ should message Andrew Wiseman.
