You'd have to join us to find out 😉

That's quite the twist Paul.

Or....putting my cynical head on...a good marketing hook for a league. 😉

LOL. There's definitely a twist, something we do that, as far as I'm aware, no other league is doing but if I just told you what we do, others would likely do it, too and then it wouldn't be unique to us. So, if you don't mind, I'll keep it a secret. Unless you join us, in which case, you'll need to know so that you don't break the rules 😉

I have the cure to acuterandomness!!! but you have to join my club to get it!

My point, why bring it up if you're not willing to elaborate on it?

Yes. We need to get away from the same old 'soft' strategy every time. Medium and hard are rarely used imo.

The straight 2 compound rule (same as F1) that we use in Preston Racing usually results in at least two different strategies being used, sometime more

For example, SS-SS-S-S 3 stopper or a S-S-M 2stopper. And then there is the decision of exactly when you take the 'odd' tyre. S-S-M or S-M-S saving the faster softs for the closing laps. There are often many more variations as players seek to avoid the risk of being beaten by better cars in the standard DRS train and make the race more dynamic and fluid. We have been inventive enough to avoid the predictability of all choosing the same strategy.

In F1, teams must run 2 out of 3 compounds available but (ignoring inters & wets) there are actually 5 compounds. Now the teams are allowed to run any 2 out of the 3 available but in reality they're told by Pirelli which 3 of the 5 they have to choose from. We do something similar.

If you wanna know more, it's really not that hard to find out.
That's all I'm saying for now, my chemo session has had quite a bad affect on me today and I'm very tired.

We used Mediums in the last 2 races and half way through our season, we've seen Hards used twice, I think

Not tending to use hards this season, we alternate distances 50% and 75% season by season, but they get use in the longer format...occasionally.
