Yet drivers that have similar pace in similarly advanced cars can end up well over a scond off the pace ay complete random on some tracks. It's a very flawed system.

I can think of something similar to what used to be a very flawed qualifying system in Formula 1 some years ago, when cars ran one afer other in reverse order, drivers getting just one qualifying lap. Some drivers cracked under pressure, having just one lap to prove. I remember Kimi, he was often off-track. Maybe it's the same here.

I think drivers run one after each other on an empty track, with 10 liters of fuel (or so), so everyone (apart from the track conditions) gets the same chance.

Dont the cars have the fuel they start the race with? They should had that, then its a tactic on how heavy you make your car for the race, and that should matter on qualifying too.

Kim, They run light as they do in F1

The funny thing is though, even though they say fuel doesnt matter for qualifying we've had so many instances in the past where a driver who would usually come dead last in qualifying, manages to qualify on pole position and then in race they've had something stupid like 2 laps fuel for their first stint. Always made me kind of wonder whether or not it actually did work like that.

Don't forget to take in to account the different fuel suppliers.

Even if everyone is on 5/5 with 10ltrs.. Different fuels might chuck up other parameters that might effect the results.

I just wish Kers didn't need charging so that a driver that is normally down the botton half of the top 10 or outside it doesn't hold up championship contenders by magically qualifying on the front row. Makes races less fun.

Rob, I don't know how much fuel supplier affects speed. Besides, I think most of us are on Shell anyway.

The game says Beep is better for Economy, but I've had both Seasheels and Beep and see bugger all difference. Cannot wait for any of the supplier stuff to actually make a difference so not everyone with half a brain has Murk engines, Sesheels or Beep fuels and Bridgerock tyres.

Cause I look at EVERY engine, fuel and tyre and you have to be retarded not to use one of the four above suppliers cause the rest of the options are amazaingly bad.

Suppliers will actually grant a singular bonus towards your Car's Attributes. It'll be completely down to personal preference of your car's development.

Beep is a lighter fuel. It increases your times by 0.04

To anybody who doesn't buy into the qualottery hype

A driver in our league last night who in his last seven races at Monaco had taken pole twice and won three times, qualified dead last in 32nd place. 0.9s off pole with one of the better cars on the grid.

Going from David's four bullet points, is it:

The circuit? Read above for his record there. No
The driver? He has finished on the podium in over half of his 141 races, winning three world championships and is one of the most established and trained drivers on our grid. No.
The weather? What?

Or could he have made a mistake? The so called "hidden" attribute. I'm sorry but i'm not buying into that, it sounds like the sort of explanation that mod/beta testers have been told to hand out by the Devs who don't have a clue themselves. What good is a hidden attribute to the player? It's not so much that you claim for it to be a hidden attribute but more that there is no way for us to know if our driver has made a mistake. I'm no expert at this but i'm guessing (logically) that good attributes for qualifying would include bravery, focus and composure, particularly composure. Would anybody disagree with that?

I can't guess what this driver's composure is but i'll tell you one thing. The race i'm talking about is the race that my driver got his first pole position at. What's his composure attribute? 1.
