"If you look at the rain gauge and it indicates more than 3.0mm of water on the track, I recommend you DO NOT ACTIVATE the button of advanced options and place in the main strategy the tires "W", with that I guarantee you will make qualy and start the race with "W". If it stops raining during the qualy, you will start the race with "W" unless you enter the race live and choose the right tyre for the occasion. Keep in mind to make the change before the traffic light appears."

Correction: If in the main strategy you put W, in case it stops raining or the track dries out you cannot change the tyres for a dry floor compound. In this case it is advisable to use the main strategy with dry tyres and in the Advanced options designate that at +3mm of water on the track use W.

Simon! I mentioned this in a previous comment.

I want to ask the bold statement one. I've going through that condition, and it did I could changing the tyres. at that times, it was raining, and I was changing from inters to wets cause the water height were not high enough.

so, what else the condition that allowed the managers to changed their tyres before the lights out? I tried at dry race once (using SS at quali and trying to change it into S), but it didn't happen.

The function only works when the weather changes. If it is raining and stops raining or if it is dry and starts raining. It is not possible to change dry tyres for dry tyres in dry conditions.  Everyone would perform the SS qualy and then put the tyre at will. It doesn't make sense if that's the case.
