Drivers shouldn't be able to go around 10 to 15 laps on punctured tires. I tried messing around on an alt trying to cause a safety car and it never got to the point where the driver was forced to retire. I think incidents should be implemented and some probability can't hurt that much. It creates suspense in a race and Tim Myers suggestion could also be implemented into qualifying to solve that problem as well.

I had to have a little laugh to myself when I saw this on the league wall. I justify posting it here because it's not really off-topic, it demonstrates the frustration at having your race ruined through no fault of your own.

Anyway, it seems that what we need is vague, unspecified race defining events over which we have no control because it makes the racing more exciting. That is, right up to the point that an unexpected race defining event happens and then we get all upset...

So does this mean what we actually want is unexpected events over which we have no control, just as long as they happen to someone else?

A good manager would have a contingency plan for being kicked out of the race viewer. A couple of years ago it used to happen quite regularly. If you normally run your race from a browser it is advisable to also have the App running on your phone because if you get kicked out of either there is always a fall-back position. But I suppose that's just my OCD kicking in.

A server booting me off the game is hardly an incident that a real team boss faces, I don't recall any of them being prevented from perceiving the action, never mind reacting to it.

That you search the league chat of a league you are not in just to make a spurious point shows two things, your argument is empty and you are nothing better than a troll. This is the final time I will bother to respond to your ad hominem vacuous posts.

"ad hominem vacuous" huh?

And no, the server (allegedly) booting you off is not a problem a real boss faces, but you aren't a real team boss are you? There will always be differences between this game and reality,  there will be things that make sense in both worlds and things that can only make sense on one. Making a feature which is the equivalent of a server booting you out of a GP mid race, is something that makes sense in neither.

Yes, real bosses usually don't face that issue as they shouldn't manage races from their phone or PC and even the worst control freaks of them usually don't manage all that stuff at all. We are no real team bosses and a game is always a game and not reality, and that's good as it means we can have a fun and thrilling time racing every day, decide everything at the click of a button and not weeks of full time work and board meetings.
Also even the game booting players isn't a game feature it's still the same result as those suggested incidents:
Race done...
No point in staying to watch.
And unlike those incidents it's even partially in my power to take precautions and have a fallback option ready.
