have had few races with the new DRS now and on the most part it seems to be working and making the racing more entertaining, which in my opinion was the point of the update.
However in my last race China one of my drivers was passed by 5 cars in one lap dropping him from 5th to 10th! In the following lap he was not able to overtake the cars now in front as they had pulled out over 1 second lead with the aid of DRS overtake!
i know China has a massive straight and the DRS effect will be more pronounced than on other tracks, however to lose 5 places is ridiculous, especially if the cars that overtake gain such an advantage that you do not have the DRS in the next lap to re-take you positions!
As in real F1 it's not going to be right first time (and they have been trying for 3 or 4 years) but some slight adjustments need to be made on some tracks like China, not to prevent overtaking but to stop such a large gain being provided by the new DRS system

David, I would think that there was something else going on there, tyre temperature, fuel load driver level, etc. Assuming they are roughly similar, that is impossible.

I think we have to accept that you can't please all of the people all of the time. In evey change there will be those who like it and those who don't. The focal point has to be whether or not it improves game-play for the majority of people.
And as always, people have a right to their opinion and without this type of feedback the game would never improve.

Andrew my driver is level 10, he was on a practically identical strategy as his team mate (who was carrying extra fuel and ahead of him). I have not set the car up differently than in previuos season, I have always evolve my stratergies from previous season (the same strategy has been used the past 3 seasons, with it being very effective).
Most of the managers in the league have drivers of similar levels and car development to me, so i can t see that a performance difference would account for this drop in places in this race

I haven't seen that in any of the testing we have done & I haven't seen it live either. Certainly some tracks offer the opportunity for several cars to pass, but assuming they are all on similar settings & fuel levels, they won't pull out a gap large enough to prevent that car from obtaining DRS on the next lap.
