Same for me as Norrie, when i run 2D on a new tab on chrome i get a black screen (i hear the sound though).
When i run 2D on a new window in chrome it runs fine...
Java makes things harder and harder for us managers... :)

I did everything that James said to do, but when i try to open 2D in new 'tab' (Using Chrome as i always do b4 update) i get blank screen but with the 2D sounds going on in background, just cant see the race, like Chris if i open it in a completely new window it appears which is slightly annoying but not the end of the world.
The java updates and the fact that the game is unsigned / not-trusted is a real problem.
You have the livery designer in Unity... is it possible to design the game in Unity entirely?
It is, but none of us know Unity. We outsourced the development of the livery builder, and we don't have the funding to outsource something as big as the viewer.
I'd rather the viewer were rebuilt in HTML5 anyway, then it could work on mobiles too. But any angle we come at it, it's a huge project. There are other reasons that development hasn't moved faster in this area (Java) in particular. I don't think it would be appropriate to comment on the details, but it has handicapped development for some time. One of the main focuses at this time is to resolve the situation and get more fluid development going again.
