:D depending on track wear and the tyre supplier to run without losing too much speed caused by wear and leave 25-30% life still in tyres
8-9 laps super soft
10-11 laps soft
12-13 laps medium
14-15 laps hard
12-13 laps inters
14-15 laps wets

OK I'll chip in. It was not your pit box posistion. On the iracing race you were getting 2.6 liters per lap. On the other one you were getting 2.7 liters per lap.
You actually had too much fuel for the milage you were getting in the iracing race. At the end of lap 10 you had 2.8 liters. The game calculated that you could make another lap. Like most of us you probably increased your push during lap 10 because you expected to pit but because you had enough for another lap according to your previous lap milage the game sent you around again. And you still had your push level higher than it had been. If you observe carefully during a pit stop you will notice that your fuel drops dramatically during pit entry. That extra entry fuel use caused you to run out in the pits.

So jay is saying you needed 30 litres not 29 litres same as me?
Too much technical talk going on in here for a wee buddy like me :D
Jack & Chris would no better ;)

9 laps x 2.8 fuel = 25.6 round off 26 + add 1
10 laps x 2.8 fuel = 28 round off 29 + add 1
11 laps x 2.8 fuel = 30.8 round off 31 + add 1
That explains it nice and easy :)

yes i needed 30 ltrs to do 11laps.
But i think you missing the whole point of the topic i ONLY WANTED to do 10 laps and planned for 10 laps. So how can i avoid this problem again 100% of the time.
Its not to bad if im watching the watch and paying attention instead of chatting during the race i could manually pit but if im not able to attend the race live then it might happen again (that being said i wouldnt be pushing all the time).
so thats why the gaame has a slight flaw in it. Hence why it would be good idea if we could
1) set the lap u want to come in regardless how much fuel u have (as long as u have enough in the first place)
or
2) if drivers decided to do another lap of there own backs and make it in to the pit lane they dont run out of fuel.
Jay Andrews medal 5000 9 years 261 days ago
If you were not attending it would not have happened. Your push level would have stayed the same and the game would have pitted you on lap 11 because your fuel usage was less that you had estimated. But you would not have run out of fuel.
To avoid having this happening again run 28 liters of fuel when the push level is going to be pl-2 or lower. Or run 29 liters and pl-3 or more.

A way around running out of fuel would be to use the amount that the tech tells you.
Would mean you are over fuelled even if you are using push hard none stop.
But most of the time push hard is not used so minus 0.1 off what the tech tells you per lap will still keep you safe.
If the game was to change to no refuelling or to just setting laps & fuel loads being automatically worked out. It would mean a lot of code re-writing and would probably be late next year before it is introduced to the game.
But who knows the guys maybe are already working on it & it might be in the new version they are currently working on.

ok several races later with several diffrent accounts and no problems what so ever all cars coming in when they are suppose to with around 1.4 fuel left.
the thing is going with what the tech guy says would my i would be coming into the pits with 50/50 chance of doing an extra lap.
so looks like monaco was just a tack were the glitch as i call it happend.
my original plan of just watching what lap i should be coming in is the best sloution.
