Stop quick race retirements

I played some quick races yesterday and I'd say 8 in 10 of them had cars retiring once they used 1 litre of fuel. If it's hard to punish them with zero xp and cash, how about stopping them from joining another until that race has finished.

AFAIK this is already the case, I just tested and confirmed that even though my car retired it is still tied into the race.

As suggested earlier in this thread, if no rewards were given to cars that don't finish a QR it would put a stop to this practice. Alternatively, for any team that DNF's a QR, lock them out of QRs for 24 hours. This would prevent these managers from using QRs to rapidly grow driver Experience.

You're right but I wouldn't lock whoever does not finish. It's normal to try different tyres under the rain. I think >60% of winner's laps is a good euristic.

Anyway we are still waiting for iGP's answer. José?, Jack? Do you think is a good habit 1-lap races?

At least the cheaters won't have a driver with 20 experience in a day.

I listed it in first position.

I don't care how the quick race ends. There is no gain when you are first or last. Statistics are not influenced and I take it as a training for league races. I will race against default strategy, no problem. I already race against players who don't use boost. It's a training.



Its not a form of cheating ! It is a legal move to gain drivers experiences ! And cannot be called cheating! If you play dota2 u know Dendy in dota2 did many fountain hooks with pudge! It was legal! 




And what else if not cheating is this? :-)) How can you get experience from something you never experience? :-)) Should be fixed asap..

How about making min fuel level 1 lap so the car will automatically pit and refuel keeping it active on the track..still doesn't solve the issue but at least there are cars!

It's a good idea but I would add a limit on pit stops because the server crashes like someone wrote in another thread where a player did 25 pit stops and the game was crashing when they joined the race.

After the fourth you don't get money and experience.

hehe Giovanni you are persistent ? when a car retires after 1 lap, they cannot join another quick race until the race is over for everyone else, they get locked out till then, so they aren't gaining more experience than you are, so don't worry about them and enjoy the training ????

why do you want an answer for this? Stop spamming this thread with off topic or not logic requests

1) you can never do 25 pit stops at Open race, where the max number of laps is 10-16. So find another thread or stop sending false data
2) what if my testing is focused on pit stops? If you do not understand, that is not necessarily problem of the game. There are people who do not use open races only for gaining of experience.

I don't think I'm spamming this thread. There is an exploit and it should be stopped for respect to those who play quick races.

Good points your observations.

1) When a player does many pit stops the game crashes. I don't know if it was fixed but it happened.

2) I never thought this possibility. Anyway you cannot justify a player that starts a quick race with one liter of fuel. What are you testing? They gain (undeserved) experience.


After your opinion I have a better idea to solve the problem.

The experience gained during a quick race should be obtained by counting the number of laps that a player has attended in live mode.

300 laps = +1 driver experience

 Does it sound fair?

That annoys me too, if they can't be bothered to complete in the race they should be penalised not rewarded, so maybe remove experience and money. You wait and enter the race to then see 2 or 3 cars run out of fuel after 1 litre has been used, means your race has been ruined also, it's just selfishness. Remove exp and credits as punishment for not finishing the race, at least then you know that the people in the race lobby will actually be competitors.


I never understood why quick races counted towards experience anyway. Makes no sense.
