Its terrible what is happening in Ukraine, war never is a good thing and I condemn the Russian leaders (not people) for the war crimes they are commiting right now.

That beeing said, the igp track is based on a real live track located in Russia, let’s be grown ups, it’s only the location of a racetrack. As Tim said and Archie repeated, if you don’t want to include it in the calendar, don’t have it. Or make a yellow and blue livery for that race.

And maybe don’t have Turkey because you don’t like the politics of Erdogan. And China because you don’t like the regime over there. And UK because you don’t like brexit or Europe because you like brexit. And Brasil because you hate how Bolsonaro is chopping rainforrest. And soon we’ll have nowhere to race.

If igp starts something against war in general, I would support it but just eliminate the Sochi track or put another flag on it, common guys, surely there is more we can do then just that.

I see a poll has gone up to remove the track. If it turns out that the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium etc do nothing do we also remove their tracks? What about China? What about the Saudi track in regards to Yemen? Where would you like this end when people can come up with any excuse to justify a track being removed from a game. We won't ideally have many left.

I do understand the sentiment but i don't see it as a relevant means to achieve anything when F1 itself, and other divisions of motor sport as well i would imagine, are suspending racing in Sochi in the actual real world. If you do not wish to race the Sochi track, or the league host wishes to remove it from the calendar then that is what it is but to ask for it to be removed entirely from the game just makes no practical sense.

I’m going to disagree here purely because it’s a game and each league has the options to remove it

Totally agree on removal of the Russian track, we stand as one with Ukrainian people.

First I want to show my support tu Ukrainian people who are watching their lives being interrupted without reason; I hate that russian government have gone so far & I agree with all the reaction the world is having against this horrible situation.

But this is is a game, sadly we do not have so much influence & probably it would not have any consequences to take any actions from here. If anyone considers that Russian GP should not be held in their season, hosts can remove it from the schedule; just ask them.

It certainly won't change anything, but nobody likes to compete in a gp in a nation that is killing people and people, right now nobody likes the image of Russia anymore

The government of this country kills and commits assassination attempts on its citizens too. This government has no principles.

Please do not associate Russian citizens with our government.

Russian people don’t have to give a opinion on the street. When they do that they get killed or getting put in prison

There is a huge difference between the Russian people and the Russian government. You can definitely see it with their elections, there has often been unusual results meaning they might have been manipulated. The Russian people are also demonstrating against war, only a minority (which is still quite a number regarding the size of Russia) is thinking exactly like Putin, maybe even worse with the Soviet Union still exists or something.

There is a bigger long term question with Sochi anyway. Like it's first and foremost sports washing and built on corruption, as half the F1 calander is these days. There are a lot of tracks I don't like to race because of those factors, perhaps one day we'll get all the great tracks of the past added to the game so you have 50 odd tracks to choose from and it's not an issue.

That's said I feel even less comfortable than normal having fun ever on a virtual Russian GP, our league raced it the night before the invasion kind of coincidentally. For the time being I won't personally take part in that race because I don't think it's right to enjoy thay situation.

And I would just say no you aren't showing solidarity with Russian people by racing there, you are showing solidarity with Putin, the Oligarchs and all the people involved in the bribery, corruption and exploitation of the Russian people that led to the Sochi winter games and the subsequent F1 track. What you are actually doing is celebrating Putin's regime.

I think what you meant to say is that "In my opinion you are celebrating Putin's regime", because what you have stated in a matter of fact quasi-fascist kind of way, in my opinion, is utter nonsense.

I and no one else is 'racing there', there is no money being exchanged. Nobody is 'celebrating'. Like i said previously any one person can come up with any one reason to do the same with almost every track. It's nonsense.
