I follow. I’d did adjust my original post to include your suggestion of fully equalising weight as well.
For the complicated solution you aren’t wrong but it’s still worth exploring as something that could be implemented in the future.
How I see the situation is that we need a simple fix for the short term (equalise weight, turn weight off etc) and a longer term fix that will give the game the balance it deserves.
I also try to keep in mind that iGP is a business and it needs to earn money. So having drivers with desirable qualities to encourage token spend is good for the model. But not when they are as game breaking as the current weight impact on female drivers pace.
Addressing the bugs you list, can’t contest them, some are more annoying than others. The only one I will dive in on here as it is on topic is the tall drivers.
My understanding is that this is less of a bug and more of a ”feature”. Tall drivers prefer a lower ride height and a lower ride height provides a marginal qualification benefit (if it’s the preferred setup, I’ve not tested running drivers below preferred setup to see if that trend continues.) But if it provides a race pace advantage it’s extremely marginal so on the whole that isn’t too much of an issue.
Which is why I find Kevin’s proposal interesting. If you could set it up so that weight counteracts the height you could end up with a variety of drivers which are better in different situations. Which would be good for competition, good for iGP’s financial model, as ultra competitive managers may choose to maintain a stable of drivers with different attributes, with the main downside of it Being that it is pretty complicated, and maybe never being fully balanced and ending up a bit of a waste in time.
