So where do we draw the line when it comes to people renaming drivers?

There was a thread discussing about this too: http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=forum-thread/3448

As far as I known, there were some of them renamed

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-driver/61472 was Margaret Homo****** Goat
http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-driver/82000 was Ian Huntley (child assasin)

And not yet

Well I would of associated Ian Huntley to Formula Renault 3.5 series not The Soham Murders!
All comes down to interpretation what some find Racial/Ethnic/National, Violence, Sexual Orientation, Obscene/Vulgar, Harassing or Defamatory others may not.

I never knew that there's a racing driver with that name too...but the child murderer is more well known than a racing driver of a development/grassroot series So that's why she got renamed

I'm sure there is lots of people called Ian Huntley in the world. Just because of one bad egg should be no reason to ban others of the same name, in the area I live in there are 8 people called James Greer.

The Ian Huntley I knew was not a driver he was the technical director of a team.

For Singapore, do you want me to include Malay and Tamil surnames, apart from the common Chinese ones?

Is Azerbaijan okay?

Azerbaijan is a grey area, the population is tiny but it is hosting a Grand Prix, so I think it qualifies. You can include it.

For Singapore... that's a tough one. We can't distinguish groups of names like that (probably should add support for that in future). We can only have one database of names per country, and they will be mixed together.

Singaporean surnames: Tan, Teo, Yeo, Ong, Chan, Wong, Lee, Goh, Chua, Chew, Lian, Neo, Hu, Ng, Tao, Yee, Teng, Quah, Low, Wong, Ang, Poh, Lua, Khoo, Ang, Tang, Sim, Chen, Lim, Lin

For names, I'm not sure whether most Singaporeans refers themselves as their Western or Chinese names?

And can it also based on the population of iGP players too?

Singapore list will be finished soon...

SG50 coming up tomorrow, and I think the celebration for SG50 would actually lasts until the end of the year. So adding Singapore as part of their celebration of their independence and nation building will be very good of course.
