On the point about the formula if I read it correctly a lvl1 driver would be valued at 12 tokens when we all know its worthless? So maybe, the formula needs a bit of tweaking

Possibly, depends on the pricing strategy I guess.

For verifying the logic, It's fairly easy to observe the pricing though looking at your HQ and Staff facility.

In mine right now:

T30 - 70 tokens
T29 - 68 tokens
T27 - 64 tokens

Staff

Level 30 - 70 tokens
Level 29 - 68 tokens
Level 27 - 64 tokens
Level 22 - 54 tokens
Level 18 - 46 tokens

This was also in place before the levels update. Where a talent 20 / level 20 would cost 50 tokens. and dropping by 2 tokens per level.

Chris has a valid point and one I mentioned earlier. If we have a problem with some drivers having a common ability and others having none. Since the price doesn't account for it and it's a free bonus. The solution to resolve Dario's complaint would be to remove the possibility of abilities on signing the driver, not guarantee everyone a common ability. I think that would be a shame and would rather things stayed as they are.

I agree that Chris’s suggestion would be fairer for the Academy.  The Auctions is down to how iGP want them to work, personally I think they need to review it, but obviously they don’t have to do anything if they believe it is working as intended.

There will always be fewer CDs with desirable stats, because so many of them are in teams. I've no evidence for any other reason for this quirk of the market.

You are right,   but before the change to the transfer market you could buy them there (e.g. Acceleration/Cooling, Braking/Reliabilty).  Of course they were much harder to acquire as lots of managers would bid for them.  Personally, i try to buy via the  HQ ( although this is less attractive since the increase in levels), but recently all I see there are bad stats and lower levels so its much harder and the cynic in me would say its designed to try and make you spend coins on changing attributes.

Personally I believe something has changed making it unblalanced.  In the long run this will be to the game’s detriment and ultimately less revenue for iGP.

Absolutely mate, it's no secret the market is designed this way, there's nothing wrong with it as such, I totally understand why, but before the update getting good rolls was far more common that it is today. Not sure why red thinks he gets god roll stats all the time cuz that ain't true. But yeah the markets are cold hard dead for people bidding on people which is a shame, I enjoyed the little battles and the elation of winning a decent CD. The good ole days eh. About what you're talking about the value that wasn't really my gripe, I just think it's absurd you pay 70 tokens and have a very low chance to get a special ability when IGP hates loot boxs. As a paying customer I would keep on buying until I got that god roll but the odds are so slim it isn't worth it.

Never said I always get them. You said specifically it was rigged so that you never got good positive stats. I opened my market and this was instantly disproved.

The activity in the market has indeed dropped. I think it may pick up once we have a population of players all at maximum level again. Right now everybody is spread out across the new levels. And since each level has it's own market, there's little competition at any one time for the same resource, I have been able to pick up quite a few CD's from the market with a good strength and weakness for 1 token which is obscene, I don't even bother watching them anymore to see if I am outbid.

The way the market is working is interesting, if you check a lot of the high level staff on the market. They have no previous owners, this means the market is generating staff to populate itself with. I'm not sure if this is a sign that there are simply very few CD/TD's at each level available that are previously owned (supply issue), or if it is the case that staff released to the free contract area are not being picked up by the system correctly.

If I had to guess, I'd go for it being a supply issue because when I look at the driver market. The situation is better. In my L29 account I have been watching a previously owned T30, legendary racecraft driver cycle in and out of the market for a few days now. Demand must be low. the drivers worth something like 320 tokens and hasn't been purchased for 1 token for days.

Note: I'm not 100% sold on the supply issue being the problem. Since writing this i've been reminded of a other topics posted where auction listed staff not going to market. Or a T30 driver I accidentally let the contract expire on. They went straight  to the market when I lost them. But have been sat in the free contract area ever since they were released by their new team.
