Research impacts now scale with manager level

If someone is winning the championship they probably have better stuff than everyone else, but it has never given extra design points. Is there any concrete proof of it happening? If so, I can look in to it.

same designer all every season no changing, you will see if you get a higher or lower car design based on your finishing position.
If your able can you look at my car design levels for Australia and see if there is any differences in the car levels.
Cars have changed from talent building to star building I think now, so there is only season 40 & 41 to compare the car levels, then seasons 41 & 42 to see what changes have made. Current season is 43

Have a look at Skid Marks in MJL League for the last three seasons. I have come second each season and always seemed to have a car that was significantly ahead of the rest of the league in Australia.

lol I'm not complaining about losing.
I get 14 design points per race, I'm level 19.

here is my car with 2 races to go:


It's about balancing, should be hard to get the perfect car not easy.

Keep me posted on how your next season goes, James. I think the changes made recently will make it harder, but it's always going to be tough to strike the perfect balance for every single level in the game.

Same CD all I changed was the suppliers, the TD and DR

Research should throw out less design points in this season to slow down development of my the car.
I'm expecting around 27max if I lucky as I have only a 3star Research Facility (CD 4&half + TD 1&half stars)

The day this forum was made I got 28 with 4&half star Facility (CD 4&half + TD 5 stars)
Jack as tweak it a little since then, so it will be an interesting season.

As for the Myth above, it's nothing to do with Research.
It's the starting base of teams, I think it's giving out higher or lower designed cars based on finishing position.

@Jack: congrats. i think it's working perfectly. balance is there, and some options for lower level managers are there.
The research rate (the way car design is increasing during the season)
Maybe is not enough time to say it but i'm having interesting races and seasons.

Only issue I can see is if you have a CD with a key area as a weakness your alway going to be on the back foot.
The idea that you can build the car in different ways but still get the same resaults just isnt there.
Really only want a CD with Tyre, Fuel, Reliability or Cooling as a weakness otherwise your doomed unless you use 2 or more CD's throughout the season.

Using more than one CD may work well in low levels but in high levels the wages are just too high to have more than one. Guaranteed income of 3.1M is easily ate up by 8K per staff member for 20races and drivers at 1.1-1.5m per race.

As you can see most teams is leaving out the areas that don't really matter to the speed of the cars.


That is why I was saying in other thread that the wear rates need to be increased to make Cooling & Reliability more meaningful, It would force a more variety of car designs instead of everyone building very much the same thing.

There must be some why that yous could make a car that has just one area either Acceleration, Handling or Downforce be just as fast as a car that has all three areas, to get a mix of cars on the grid but still have close racing.
