The ugly truth. Previously, races were raced using Thrust 1 only on the straight, devising an optimal strategy because consuming KERS to get DRS wasn't always worthwhile (for example, in Mexico and Monaco). In fact, sometimes it was better to travel in clean air rather than sitting in traffic. You had to use your brains to win. Now, however, everyone races in close proximity, 10 drivers within 1.5-2 seconds (wasting even 3-4% of kers just to be crowded into the group... the kers recharges, no problem), the Dirty Air effect practically gone, and you race for laps and laps using Push Level 1 just to be 2º and get DRS.
The winner is the one who's second on the final lap because they have DRS and, with a clear track, the KERS works well. Those behind, however, are all crowded together, and the KERS doesn't work well. You press it but can't overtake because you get stuck; in some cases, it even deactivates on its own.
Racing like this is sometimes really boring and stressful. I hope the upcoming update fixes these issues as well.
I totally agree. Watching 30 laps of a slow train full of slow cars competing only to not arrive 1st at the detection point is becoming more and more sad.
