That's some of my data, so you can see how and where to input your data. You can clean it or just add/replace as you go along.
In the last section you have the data to prepare the strategy for the race (fuel, tyre wear, pit-stops...). Especially fuel data is very important, so you should put in your medium fuel usage (the formula on the sheet that calculates fuel/laps/pit-stops uses this fuel number to make his calculations).
In the section "Car Configuration", is where you put the input your drivers teel you when they do the 5 test-runs (data for future reference).
The section "Qualification & Race" is pretty obvious, you put the positions/times/points you've got on the races.
The section above this last one is just information over each GP track, as it's in iGP Manager.
The first section is where it all happens: tells you the fuel you need, how many laps you're gonna do and when you're going to pit. Also gives you the maximum nº of laps to do with any given tyre, total GP laps, fuel p/ lap and total fuel (to calculate some of this, first you must have/input the fuel and tyre wear data on the last section).
How does it work:
On the green cells you put the nº of the GP (it's above the country flag), nº of league laps (25% to 100%), and fuel safety net (this is for having sure that the driver won't stop in track without fuel - i always leave this cell with 1 on it, that means it's a extra litre - or more if you put 2 or 3 - per stint, not per lap).
On the blue and pink cells, you put the nº of laps you want to do, or in which lap you wanto to pit, and it calculates the rest automatically.
Once you've tried it, you'll see it's very easy to use. But ask away if you have questions...

Bom dia Ricardo

Here's a new version (3.1) of my Race Tool.
It already contains spaces to fill data when the new Super Softs and Medium tyres arrive at IGP.
Perfect for everybody to plan their race strategy... just download it:

Hope you'll like it.
Any doubts/questions, feel free to ask.

Here's the file image link (can't post image):

Here's how it works:
First, on top, in the green cells, you put the league laps % (25% to 100%) and the nº of the GP (it's above the country flag - from 1 to 17).
The cells below automatically gives you some information related to laps, fuel and tyre (total GP track laps, lap/total fuel needed, tyre wear and the maximum nº of laps to do with tyre).
- to give you such information, first you must have the section "Fuel, Tyres and Pit-Stops" filled with values (right now those are filled with my personal data, you can change it to fit your case).
Still on top, there's the driver section.
On the blue cells, you put the nº of laps you want to do for every stint (this will give you the fuel you need and in what lap you will stop), or the amount of fuel you want to go with (this gives you how many laps you can do with that fuel).
Again, the last section, "Fuel, Tyres and Pit-Stops" must be filled with values, so it can calculate automatically.
Below that, there are 4 sections:
1st one is "Grand Prix Circuit Data". This one is just information about each GP track, as it's in iGP Manager.
2nd is "Qualification & Race", where you put the positions/times/points you've got on the races.
3rd is "Car Configuration", where you put the input your drivers tell you when they do the 5 test-runs (you can keep this data for future reference).
Last one, but not the least, is the section "Fuel, Tyres and Pit-Stops". This is where you have the data to prepare the strategy for the race (fuel, tyre wear, pit-stops...). Especially fuel data is very important, so you should put in your medium fuel usage or what your tecnhical director says - only if he's normally right - (the formulas in the spreadsheet that calculates fuel/laps/pit-stops uses this fuel number to make his calculations).
In here you can save also your previous strategy or future strategy (laps to do, tyre to use, amount of fuel, in what lap to pit, nº of pit-stops - i reduced it to, for example: 9s37 - that is 9 laps, soft tyre, 37L)
I think it's easy to work with it, just try it and give me some feedback...

New version !!!
The 3.1 had a formula error in QUALIFICATION & RACE section when the driver didn't finish the race in the top 10 places.
In this version (3.2) no longer happens.

How do you do the Tire part
Brian Voghell medal 5000 10 years 138 days ago
What do you put in for the Tire setting
Sean Riley medal 5000 10 years 132 days ago
been using this for most of my first season, its an amazing tool, and ive been slowly updating my data in preperation for season 2.
however, the new tyres update made all those numbers a bit weird. trying to adjust them as i learn the new tyre values.
hopefully season 3 ill have a fully updated accurate sheet :D
thx Ricardo.
looking forward to the next version ;)

with the suppliers part of your strategy tool do you use this at all
Ricardo SpeedKing medal 5000 10 years 124 days ago
If i understand correctly what you mean (you're talking about the "suppliers" sheet, right?), no.
I'ts just informative values for us to choose "wisely" the suppliers to use.
To calculate some type of strategy, using all the suppliers available, would be far too exaustive, and i don't think the outcome would bring the "ultimate perfect strategy to beat everyone", if you know what i mean (although it can be possible, maybe, who knows?).
So i just made a table where everybody could see and compare the suppliers values and choose acordingly, simple as that.

very good strategy tool you have made ricardo made my life a hell of a lot easier. thanks for putting in the time and effort to design it

I ally love his stratgytool you made thanks fr puttin the effrt into it

Still working to make it better...
Now i'm introducing a column with Push Level (PL) for every stint, that will affect the amount of fuel needed in every stint.
So if you're going with SS tyres in 1st stint and presumebly use PL1 (take-it-easy) for the entire stint, the fuel needed is less 0,2L per lap than if you were in M tyres with PL3.
But if in stint 2, you will use Hard Tyres with PL5, you will spend more 0,2L of fuel per lap than the normal (PL3).
The formula will calculate, for every PL you use, a different amount of fuel.
When it's finished (almost is, just tweaking some stuff), you can put the PL desired for each stint and the fuel indication for that stint will be more exact than ever.

the new extras sound great Ricardo,
can we start getting excited about the new version in the next few days? :)
those new tyre values will be a god-send!
Ricardo SpeedKing medal 5000 10 years 112 days ago
I have it ready but i'm waiting to complete the 17 races after the tyres have changed. It will be released in 24th of August.
Those who can't wait, just say and i'll send it as it is now...
