New feature: Holidays & breaks in league schedules (preview)

In recognition of the fact that this time of year is going to present a lot of scheduling dilemmas, I've put a couple of other projects on hold to add the ability for hosts to insert holiday breaks throughout the season on their league(s). This option is now available in-game to all league hosts with an active subscription. Several races can be postponed in advance throughout a season, by up to 21-days at a time. Hopefully this will allow everyone to spend some quality time with their friends and family over the holidays without the distraction of race strategies and driver training!

The option is accessed via the 'Manage league' button on your league page, or the 'Manage' link under 'My Leagues' from the navigation menu and then selecting the 'Postpone races' tab.

Reward points price cut

The price structure for reward points has also been revised and reduced, the changes are outlined in detail below:

100 Reward Points £2.99 (no change)
250 Reward Points now £4.49 was £5.99
500 Reward Points now £5.99 was £7.99
1000 Reward Points now £9.99 was £14.99

Three new nations

We also have three new nations available in-game for the Young Driver Academy. They are: South Africa, Uruguay and Switzerland.

Smarter pit 'safe release'

Many managers competing in populated two-car leagues will have experienced at one time or another the agony of being held in your pit box by an overly-cautious lollipop man in your pit crew. Sometimes this could cost a team significant number of places. In order to reduce this behaviour, Chris has set a maximum wait time of 1 second on the simulator, meaning it is still possible to lose places in the pits, but it should not be anywhere near as significant as in the past. We can further refine this value based on feedback if necessary.

Coming soon: Supplier attributes revamp

In response to a popular forum request from John Sjostrand to revamp the supplier attributes, all engine, fuel and tyre suppliers will be releasing new components in January. This will give everyone, including veteran managers something to think about, as it will be the first time since iGP Manager launched that the suppliers have been shuffled around. Clear announcements will be made in advance of the change and when it is set to occur on the forum, so keep your eyes peeled!
