It looks as though Chrome works on my MacBook but the native Safari just displays a blank/black page with no errors. Hope that helps..

Cheers,

Rich

When using this through a firewall / proxy at work, none of the Java components will load (this includes 1d chat and 2d).Is there a way to over come this?  I suspect it may be something to do with the ports the features run under, but not investigated at depth.

I'm the same. At work I don't get the java content due to network config. At home it works fine with the same laptop. From memory I think it's port 443, which I guess must be blocked. I'll play around some more Monday.

The applets use TCP port 25010.  If that's blocked (e.g. by an office network) and you can not get it unblocked then there's no easy way around it at the moment.  You would need to do something along the lines of setting up a proxy server with a port forward.  There are some things we can do in future to work around restrictions like this though.

Any progress on overcoming this restriction?  Having the same issues at work, thank you.

Maybe utilize a more standard TCP port that isn't normally blocked by firewalls?

Or what about remoting or VPN to a computer at home?

Will Live timing or 2D work on Safari w/ Java 6 update 29?

In our league no one is able to view the 2d option anymore... different PC/Mac setups, different browsers, different hardware... same result: 2d doesn't load anymore.

Any suggestion?

Being a paid feature, it's a little bit annoying...

I'm on a MacBook Pro and tried the following without success.

Mac OS X v 10.8.3
Java updated to latest version
Safari (won't load 2d viewer, only timer)
Chrome (errors out saying it needs 64bit and Chrome is 32bit)
Firefox (won't load anything)

Any thoughts or updates on this?

I had this same issue you need to remove the java applett in applications (if you have done already). Also Chrome for Mac doesnt support java.

Is the java applett actually called "java applett". I'm not seeing anything in the Applications folder like that to delete?

Having issues, wanted to try my 2D trials, wasted them, unfortunatly!

2D loads the Live Timing + Controls it seems, to me.

For those on a Mac, after i installed the update to Java, the first time loading up the 2D viewer it took 15/20 minutes of the grey screen before it eventually loaded. After this it starts up near instanly. It just seems to be that the first time it's almost as if it's caching it all.
