I was getting 6th and had enough fuel, cutting it close but had completely enough and i could have just changed push lvl to save fuel but then right before the pit lane it showed auto pit  and no time too cancel and cost me good points. BAD

Please use a more accurate title for the topic, so it will be easier for other users to find it. For being the first time I'll take care of changing it myself so you can take it as an example. To edit a topic click on the pencil in the lower right corner.

The same thing has happened to me on a number of occasions. Earlier this season "PIT" started flashing literally as the car got to the pit lane entrance, no time to cancel, both cars pitted on the same lap so the one behind lost a bunch of time. Because I was running a two stint strategy the driver who pitted earlier than planned went out for the second stint with insufficient fuel to complete the race. This turned a good points finish into a disastrous race for both drivers, the one with insufficient fuel had to pit again at the end of the penultimate lap and the other lost time queuing in the pit lane. Plenty of points lost, possibly changing the course of my championship challenge.
Reviewing data after the race confirmed he had enough fuel remaining to complete another lap as planned.
Same last night at Abu Dhabi except this time I got half a lap advanced notice, I spotted the "PIT" light flashing and cancelled the stop. I did the extra lap on PL4/5 (no conserving fuel) and when the driver pitted he still had 0.2 litres of fuel remaining. So why did the game try to pit him a lap early? This driver won the race, if I hadn't noticed the light or had not been attending he would have finished outside the points.
A very irritating bug with the potential to be a championship decider. It's been reported on a number of occasions but no response as to whether the devs are intending to fix it.

Yes, this game behavior makes setting up the perfect amount of fuel a very dangerous thing to do, because often the game decides to pit early if the car got less than 1 lap +0.3 litres of fuel. That's just too much of a safety margin, a car on a auto strategy doesn't change push level after all and else it has to be a very unlucky event (like a very quickly drying track) that might come somewhat close to raise the fuel consumption by that much between laps. If the devs don't want to change the margin to be on the absolutely safe side then it would be better to give the option to disable auto pitting altogether. Although it also can cause trouble for planning a robo managed race, so maybe let the manager decide how much of a safety margin they want.

Hi!

I was going to win the race when my driver decides to pit because he was going to run out of fuel. I didn't understand how that happened, until I decided to study the race after it has ended and I discovered that the fuel consuption was 1.9L/lap and he decided to pit with 2L on the tank (before the race I set it to run 20 laps on medium tyres and the driver only raced for 19 laps).

Can you please explain me what happened?

Hi Rui.
This has already been raised as a bug on a number of occasions, the last time only a couple of days ago.
