Hi.

Several players have observed that when it starts to rain in the middle of the race, you enter the pits before the amount of water scheduled. In the last two dry races where it started to rain in the middle of the race, where I am scheduled to change to W over 4mm of water, it did so in 2 or less. Even after having made a manual stop to put I, it changes to W 2 laps later.

I repeat that we have already observed several players, and in more than one race, to rule out a failure in the programming of the strategy.

I think u get autopitted because u go from dry to wet.
Waiting for 4 mm of rain to go straight to fullwets is just plain nonsense, unless the 4mm is going to be reached within 2 or 3 laps.
Just set the number at 0, with intermediates, and make the extra stop. It will save u so much time u might even win (if several players still cancel the forced stop and wait for 4mm).

Also 4mm is way to much. 3.3

Mario: you are right, there is clearly a bug in the application of the advanced strategy and this is observed and reported many times already. It is in our queue of reports to the devs, but I can't tell you at this point when they will have time to look at this.

Bo: you are right that waiting to pit till 4mm is in most casaes not the fastest strategy, but if that's what the manager decides, the game should do as it's told, not correct the manager ;)

You think badly As you see in the following response is a known bug. Whether the programming is correct or not, is opinion, and I do not mean that. I am always following the race live, and I always go to change manually to I just start to rain, since we already know that from the first moment, you win time. Having that configuration so high for W is to avoid that I mount them automatically without wishing me and for start of the race. As I see how lap times evolve, then I manually enter to change W. But as I say, that is a matter of opinion, and I speak of a bug, which as you see, have already recognized that it exists.

A little hint: If you want to choose the pit stops manually then set the advanced setup settings to 5mm and 50 laps. The game won't trigger a pit stop due to weather with those settings. I'd still select an appropriate tyre though, in case there's a weather change in between lock down and race start.

We have added this to our list of issues to investigate, it will be investigated and resolved, hopefully this month, and if not then in November. Sorry it takes time, but there is a lot of stuff we are working on at all times, and some things are even more urgent than this, otherwise it would be our top priority.

I had already thought about that, but if I have it set up, it is precisely because I have the W tires for the start of the race, as I consider more appropriate, not because of what is needed during the race, as I do that manually. But as the problem with 1.6mm of water and having it configured in 4mm, 2 laps after putting I, I have no doubt that if I put it in 5 it will happen in the same way ... unless the bug happens when it is set to 4mm, since when I had it in 3mm it had never happened to me

Greetings,

Guys please fix this. I'm starting to get tired of this mistake.

I set up the car and choose inter tyres (wet race) and demand that when rain gets above 3mm to change to full wet tyres. I go for live race and my cars are sitting in the grid on inters with rain at 3.3mm. Last time this happened I was on inters in a 5.0mm track.

Kind Regards

Moved Rui's new thread into this one, as it's related to the same advanced strategy bug with weather changes.

That's the nice thing about it, while the tyre is still considered for surprising rain at race start, the game, if at all, very rarely triggers a pit stop no matter how much rain happens during the race. Using those settings it never triggered a weather related automatic pit stop for me.

Advanced options are totally broken. It's the second time in 3 races I get W on both of my cars when it's less water than I set as a transition point. The first time it was 2,9 mm on the start while I set it to switch to W from 3 mm. I thought that maybe it was 3 mm in Q, so okay, but today it was absolutely outrageous. This time i set it 4 mm, but it was only 2 mm the race started, why the hell my cars were wearing Wets?

Hi.
Today I ran a race with rain throughout the race of 2.7 mm.
I set my strategy with over 3 mm to mount Wet and if it stops raining 10 intermediate laps.
at the start of the race with rain at 2.6 mm mounted me the Wet in place of the intermediate.
you can not , I lost a lot of money , reputation points , not to mention the race that ended very badly .

Thank

Same problem in the same race for me.  Other managers with the same settings started with intermediate tyres.

I may be mistaken but the problem is still presented as my pilots were just about to switch to Wets as the rain started even though they were to use Wets when it's 3mm and above. That was only 0.2mm of water and luckily I spotted the W icon pretty soon and cancelled the pit stop.

Lol, its noted but not important, so a game breaking bug isnt important, surely if its affecting many races its a serious problem and should be fixed.

Leaving it so many more suffer is poor.
