Everyone on the league chose to change to inters if the track was above 1 mm of rain and all the cars on the grid started with dry tyres on a 1.2 mm. Everything working perfectly...

The big missing information is: Was it actually raining (weather symbol) or just wet (no rain symbol but water on track)? Which 3 tyres did you set up in normal and the 2 advanced setups choices?
Because if it was just wet and you chose dry tyres in either the standard strategy or the advanced setup choice for 'If it stops raining after X laps' it quite probably wasn't a bug but bad communication of the behaviour of what which setting will do in which situation by the game.

At start of race today chose inters for whatever reason it chose to put me on med so pitted after 1 lap to change tyres to inters had both cars set at pit stop to replace with inters but one car at pitstop goes onto inters game decides other goes on to meds then reversed the tyres this was a good game enjoyable shame raced last race over this issue hope it gets sorted before to many follow me and stop playing it

Yes, if you set up Inters but it's not raining then the game of course selects the tyre chosen in the 'If it stops raining...' option as the game assumes that's the correct tyre for the situation. Unfortunately it doesn't takes into account the track remains wet, which wasn't a problem some time ago since at the start the chance would be high that the rain stopped several minutes ago and the track is dry or finishing drying quick enough to make it the right choice, but now with this extra slow drying the assumption that assumption isn't working anymore. So to start on Inter you have to choose them also in that advanced option.
The pit stop problem I already mentioned. That's also why it's usually best to 'disable' advanced option for a race you're attending by setting them to 5mm and 50 laps which as good as never triggers.

Yeah now the problem is that tracks are drying very slow. Yesterday we had the whole race with water above 1.8mm even though the rain had ended 20 min before the race start. That ended up in the whole starting grid being on slics while it was something around 2.5mm of water on the track. I think it really needs fixing, otherwise we are going to face many other ridiculous situations like the one we've experienced.

Maybe it getting ready to have the cars skidding into each other with that talk of crashes and yellow cars and extra failures
The way for them to priorities the issue is if teams stop playing over it
