Got the Java circle come up with the downloading bar but it never completes.. First time the bar moved 1mm, second time 2mm, third time 3mm, fourth time it got 50% of the way done, fifth time it only went 25% of the way, sixth time 3mm, it's just never finishing.

Any ideas?

Yeah definitely not working. Just tried about 40 times and every time it downloads a random quantity (usually 10% or less) and stops.

Mmm, if it helps, live timing loads straight away. Bar shoots to 100% instantly and loads chat window fine. 2D just won't download/load/whatever it is.

Hi Jason.  I take it the game was running consistently for you in the recent past?  I remember you had issues similar to this before.

On the condition that it was actually running OK earlier, could you tell me which Java version ended up working?  I seem to recall that it was one of the Java 6 versions that you had installed, but from the logs in your screenshot it appears that you now have Java 7?

As part of this server migration I had to recompile the viewers, but I should be able to do so in a manner that gets it working for you again if the current setup isn't working.

Thanks.

Andrew, everything has been running fine since you loaded the tracks into the viewer or whatever you did. The only problems I have ever had with 2D was after you did that last update and the tracks wouldn't load (but others were having the same problem I recall) - Before that I'd never had a problem and I haven't had a problem since - It was a one off incident for me. Yes, 2D was working fine yesterday and hasn't failed to work for me for months now.

I'm using the latest Java, after you did that fix last time everything worked fine straight away. I've already tried reinstalling Java (old version and new version) aswell as clearing the cache etc but nothing is working so far.

So now for some odd reason 2D is working on my old computer only. My main computer is still the same.

However while it's working it has some flaws.

Funny sizing (black borders etc), and things like the weather picture don't show up etc.

Just to confirm, I am working on this.  It's taking a while to sort but there is a problem with the Java 6 version of the viewer.

I have fixed the Java 6 version of the 2D applet.  I hadn't completely configured the compilation environment correctly for version 6 and so that particular applet was corrupt.  I am in the process of doing the same for the live controls applets.  Sorry about the fuss.
