As a racer myself the argument is lacking (about auto 5/5 being a good thing). This is the only positive statement people have for this topic .. that "drivers always push hard in qual" .. It's a pathetic case to argue. Are people trying to say drivers never push hard in races then (eg the way it is now)?
If they are going to set auto 5/5 qual they should let you choose your push levels for every lap. Why was this not introduced? If you're going to let slow people start at the front of the grid (by auto 5/5 qualifying) then let them pre-program their push levels for every lap. Is this possible or not?
I am sorry for sounding so bitter but I am so incredibly sick of people saying 5/5 qual is a good thing. It's ruining the game, it's ruining MANY races, and it's severely pissing ACTIVE/paying managers off. WHY does it make more sense to help the people who don't show up to race and completely ruin the peoples races who actually show up and put in the effort.
It's a complete joke from my POV, and my POV is not biased, because in the last two seasons I have started from P1 more than anyone in my league, so this has affected me the least of any one.
I'm active and I'm paying and I disagree!
Realy don't know what you're talking about! But as you periodically need to say that nonsense - I will also periodicaly reply:
I'm on in 15 of 17 races so it should affect me at all.
It's no problem to overtake s.o. that drives with 1/5 or 2/5 when doing 4/5 or 5/5 in the first laps - done this many times.
5/5 brings more thrill to the game, as it's more realistic and it's not just driving away!
You have to think about changing strategy, when and how to make use of KERS, etc. p.p.
If you don't like people who are not on in races: kick them from your league.
The 5/5 thing is a fair thing. It brings balance to online and offline racers.
Would prefer more different settings: pushlevels for different situations BEFORE race: qually, rain, hard/soft, stint 1,2,3,... - and so on.
