Quick race stuck on same lobby/track

What did you try to do?
Race a quick race.

What happened instead?
After preparation pressed "go race"
Game loaded 50% and then it lost connection with server.
Since that the game is stuck at the same venue.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Both

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
App

What is the model of your device?
Samsung note 9
Samsing Tab S2

What is the operating system?
Android

What is the version number of the operating system?
Andrioid 9

Can the bug be reproduced?
Yes, it can be reproduced.

Additional comments:
I had two previous quick races with no problem. This only happen once the game lost connection with lobby during the race. It's been more than 12 hours since this happened.

Hi all, none of you are in a race. Please try fully exiting the app and restarting it. It sounds like you are opening the app in the same session over and over again from yesterday.

When I login as you I can see that you are not in a race and the UI is fine. Alternatively, go to Settings and clear cache in the app.

I’ve cleared cache twice and force shut the app and restarted and it keeps on taking me back to the Malaysian race I did yesterday. Gets stuck at 50% loading. I’m going to try and restart my iPad to see if that does anything.

EDIT: Restarted iPad and still unable to join a quick race.

I restarted the app at least a dozen times yesterday. I only attempted to use the iGP Manager on PC to test this issue exclusively, never played iGP on PC before. I was able to spectate a random race as well. I attempted to clear cache on my phone to no avail.

Ah, I misunderstood the problem being reported. I thought you were stuck in a race in the sense that the 'Go to race' buttons were stuck on in the UI, something that was reported a couple of times yesterday and which I had fixed.

I understand why you're being put into these lobbies repeatedly, they aren't being closed properly. I will see if I can fix it quickly now.

The good news is there are only 10 or so races I can see with this problem, so not too many people will be affected.

I have tracked it down to a narrow set of possibilities and eliminated many potential causes, but it is almost midnight and as you can imagine we've had a very long week, most of the team are in bed, including the guys I need to help me resolve this.

We will pick this up in the morning, give us another 12 hours or so and your issues should be resolved. Again, thanks for your patience. In the meantime you can do league races as normal, quick races will just take a moment to work again.

Here's what is happening: You're essentially stuck in "ghost lobbies" of sorts, that aren't closing. I don't know enough about the servers to dive in and start tampering with that side of things. I would probably do more harm than good! I will need one of the guys who works on that to clear them out of the system.
